I just thought of a great idea for April Fool's. We should totally change our screen names and avatars (and posting styles) to screw with each other.

After the last time I tried sketching a pone, only to find out I'd done a few hundred things wrong, I thought I may as well check back with you guys to see if I've done anything wrong this time after what I learned last time.

In the first sketch, the left front leg looks a bit awkward. Maybe you could draw the end of it in a more face-front angle (could not find the right word here), so it looks more like it's turned 90 degrees.
In the way it's positioned now, it looks like it's turned almost 180 degrees, which looks a bit unnatural to me.

About Ghost's death,

I was shocked when I heard the news about the artist dying at such a young age. Although I did not know her personally, I was one of the followers of the "Ask Stoned Trixie" Tumblr. I loved the humor and her drawing style, and it eventually became one of my favorite blogs on Tumblr.

The mysterious Mare-downvote-well strikes again!

I still think it's the same guy, every single time. His life, dedicated to one purpose. Downvoting as many pony related things as possible. The more he downvotes, the more just keep coming, but he holds onto hope. One day, through strength and perseverance, pizza delivery orders and fapping, he will downvote everything in existence. And then all the ponu will just randomly vanish, because that's what downvotes do, right?

The one thing I HATE about Downvotes is the fact that when I check my profile (since my Downvotes are at a lower more easy to remember number I always know which number I'm at) and see a new Downvote it drives me crazy where I'm looking through my posts just to see what it was that someone hated. Like I saw that I just got a downvote and I spent a whole 5 minutes trying to find what someone decided to downvote but couldn't find it and gave up.

It's also funny to see all the posts on the first few pages that all the posts have downvotes. It's like someone said "I'm going to downvote all those ponyfags! That'll show them!!!" but then stops after the third page realizing that there's like 100 pages.

All right. Time to give people upvotes to make sure that the "Karma give" amount does not equal to triple 6's anymore.

Well I'm trying to give more Karma because seriously…..ever see my Karma Received to Karma given ratio? I look like a complete dick, have received 800 Upvotes but only gave out 100? See this makes me better than Blue Yoshi because he's doing it so he doesn't have the number of the beast, I'm doing it because I care about my self image so that makes me better so I deserve more upvotes.

Can it be November already? We really need a discussion topic to counter the Pony General I level image postings. They're not bad in light doses, but it gets kind of old after a week of it. Posting an image of Applejack and half of a sentence doesn't really elicit valuable responses.

It's like going on Derpibooru to the "Heart Attack" tag and always finding that one asshole who downvotes everything no matter what. It doesn't evoke anger or strong reactions, it just makes people think what the hell is wrong with you? If a person is upset about ponies being put in their face all the time, reacting by shoving their anti-pony opinion into other people's faces is not going to help the issue.

Oh well, I guess the Greater Internet Fuckward Theory touches everywhere.

What are you all doing during the drought right now? With Season 4 being less than two months away, and no news announcing much about the premiere, it's been drier than usual. Any ideas on why we're not being bombarded with SPOILERS already?

Currently, I have found a suitable distraction for me so as to prevent me from going insane on the withdrawal.

So for the moment, I am at peace. I'm not sure how long it'll last though, seeing as how THIS show's currently on a hiatus as well.

What are you all doing during the drought right now?

I fill my time with lots of music, browsing KYM and some other sites, a lot of TF2 etc.

Maybe the Hub finally realized that after spoiling almost all of Season 3 and even actually giving away the ENDING to Season 3 that they finally learned their lesson and have eased up on spoilers…..Or they're just waiting till November to spoil the entire season.

The one thing I hate about those things isn't as much as the guys doing it, they're wasting their time on easy fixes that commonly even result in the opposite effect as more people tend to fix it than those than downvote, it's the folks who post reactions related to it (yes, that goes to all of you).

Regardless of the reply being positive or negative, replies are admitting that you noticed their actions and wasted enough time on it to make a reply towards the anonymous individual. It only promotes them to continue doing it. Positive, negative, or claiming to not be bothered (>not bothered; >still replying to it), a reply is a reply, it indicates their act was noticed, and through that fuels them to continue.

And by "easing up on spoilers" you mean "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN SEASON 4?!"?

I have nothing productive or insightful to add to the ongoing conversations, so have some Fatlicorn.

During the pony drought I have actually been keeping myself quite busy, spending the entire summer waitressing full time, then starting school and spending most of my time with new college friends. Not to mention Legend of Korra being back for it's second season and watching Attack on Titan (which recently ended) among other things, I haven't had much time to worry about pony. Although lately I have been going on a bit of a pony fanart kick due to the incoming season, and I have also started turning old episodes on on Netflix to play in the background as I do my drawing assignments. So yeah, I've kept myself busy during this off season but am eagerly awaiting season 4.

I always try to keep my Karma Given and Karma Received as even as possible.
That negative 1 karma given still haunts me

Sitting in my room. Alone. Doing nothing. Waiting to do something with my friends. But that has nothing to do with the pony drought. That's just my life.

I don't really mind so much about what happens to anyone's karma. I don't really mind that anyone gives karma of any sort.

I do mind posts that don't deal with Ponu.

But we had that discussion. What occurs to users specific to Pony General is related to Pony General. So I'm not going to get involved. But with the preceding logic in mind, I do believe that I can say that the fact that some of us partake in pointing and laughing at (and encouraging) some troll really gets me to scratching my head.

This is certainly something more interesting to talk about. I have to say I vastly prefer her canon eyes. Blue might match the hair but something about it doesn't seem to fit right. It's far less striking. And red, for that matter, is too striking. Magenta is a great fit and I'm glad the animators chose it

Too bad not many artists seem to appreciate this and continue to draw her with blood red eyes like she's a vampire.

@What am I doing during the drought

Playing BL2 pretty much most of the time, or buying pizza, or watching movies with friends, or watching Markipliers channel with my flatmate, not to mention applying for jobs. So I'm keeping myself occupied without too much trouble.

I'm not worried about a lack of episodes since it doesn't seem to affect the rate of ponu coming in and out of the fandom. There's always new artwork flooding in.

And on the subject of art, I really feel like I should be drawing something. It's been ages since I last drew pone

I don't mean to bitch about grad school again, but I'm going to bitch about grad school again. I basically spent the hiatus finishing course work and then writing the 50 page essay I needed to do to finish my MA. You may now call me Master Platus. Now I've started more course work for the PHD, because apparently I'm a masochist.

I also wrote a bunch of stuff: fiction, poems, stuff I'm calling poems because I don't know what other category they fit in, etc.

I also spent a great deal of time in the image gallery – I've probably seen every image posted there in the last year and a half at least once.

So yeah, busy busy busy busy. I can't wait for the season to start.

@Pony Drought. I do what I always do, I look at the My Little Pony Wikipedia page constantly wishing for MLP to come back, one day that wish will come true. Other than that I found out my movie theater plays a shitload of classic movies on Sundays so my friends and I always go to see the movies every week (and I'm surprised that the theater there is actually PACKED).
So far I've gotten to see Back to the Future, Ghost Busters, Pulp Fiction, Predator, Raiders of the Lost Ark (don't know if a movie is playing this week, oh well.) Also I've had other events these past few months that had me waiting to the point where Pone is (surprisingly) at the back of my mind.

Like say a Paintball tournament a group of my friends and I entered in July (We lost badly, how were a bunch of 20 somethings whose biggest achievements were Benching 280 pounds that one time supposed to last against a team of retired marines who decided to fill their war void with Paintball?!), The Black Sabbath Concert on my 21st Birthday last August, this month we got GTA 5….which is surprisingly taking up more time than I thought it would, then we have The Walking Dead coming back so that'll hold me until Pony next month. So I've got things handled.

I'm dying from Pone withdrawal though…….

But really, I'm just hanging out on pony sites pretty much as usual and slowly but surely making progress on the various projects I have.
Despite having long gaps between seasons, the artistic communities around MLP are so productive and prolific that it hardly feels like a 'drought' at all.
Plus we've still had the comics for a monthly fix.

That's not to say I'm not hotly anticipating the new season!
Until I realize it's still so far away…
But it will be awesome when it gets here!

I've been through two of these long waits for season premiers now, and I still can't remember: When exactly did we start getting hit with spoilers in the past?
I'm having a hard time thinking that The Hub released details two months in advance (where we are now) before, but I really can't remember.
Are we actually being made to wait longer than we have before or is it just the fact that we are waiting right now that amplifies that feeling?
In either case, I'm sure they'll get around to ruining an episodes best joke(s) a couple weeks in advance soon.

The previously mentioned Code Geass (The Geass fails to understand what basic sentence structure is and instead opts for the interpretation that's the darkest.)
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (It's all just a hope spot.)
and I'm currently watching One Piece and Pokemon whenever new episodes are released.

I'm also working on my fanfics and participating in Fimfiction drama.
