@Fifths
Fine.
Spoiler your NSFW content (as defined by the NSFW Guidelines and as exemplified.)
sexually explicit language, gestures, expressions
These gestures and expressions are sexual/teasing/suggestive in nature and are NSFW as defined by KYM. If bouncing breasts with a happy, non-sexual expression is NSFW, then an image with a suggestive facial expression focusing on the butt is NSFW.
If there's something I can't stand, it's when people speak confidently about things they don't know about.
And then it's nearly infuriating when they try to get smart about it and think they made some grant point on the foundation of an incorrect assumption.
And it's downright disrespectful for that ignorant person to make a public post trying to shame a person trying to do their job. You know good and well BSOD isn't the type to enforce anything unless he has to. Why would you try to shame him on one of the few occasions he does?
The bad thing about it is that it's in the rules. It's not some policy that isn't given somewhere. You didn't have to assume anything, but you chose to anyway, because you're too confident in your opinions. So confident, that you didn't even bother to look at what BSOD was going by.
And don't even say "But there's an image here that should be spoilered, and it isn't." Most of the moderators here just don't have time to go through a gallery as deep as the Pony gallery to pick out every instance of an NSFW image.
I saw what was going on (hence my post). I just don't get involved, because this has happened before, I said the same thing before about NSFW content, it happened again, and I don't spend time on lost causes. I'd rather just let it go than to issues warnings and suspensions. I told BSOD that I personally didn't care, but he asked what the rules were. And out of the goodness of his heart, he spoilered everything and made a nice, pleasant post asking everyone to spoiler their images.
I have no real motive to be so nice in this situation.
Consider this a warning, Fifths. You got a nice one from BSOD. You went against it to make a bad/irrelevant point. That's enough reason for me to warn you.
Don't be a jerk. Especially when you're citing rules that don't apply to the site. It just makes you sound ignorant.
If you have a problem with the stupid NSFW rules (or at the very least our stupid interpretation of the rules), then you can find a relevant thread or start a new one if you'd like. Thanks.
Overall, as BSOD and Harshwhinny noted, some of the images on the past two pages weren't suggestive. The expressions or poses weren't specifically sexual or suggestive in nature, so not everything needed a spoiler. The Trixie image is probably fine. And a lot are borderline (i.e., just because a butt is in the picture, like Platus', doesn't mean it's suggestive. The context helps make the call.)
