Sorry ladies and gents, but I drew two pics of Blue fanart already, and the second I can't post cause your eyes would melt. But here's the first!

@LGBTQ

We had a badge for this already.

Don't forget the vectored version too [AGAIN NSFW]

On the subject, Mark. I'm vectoring the other two sketches you made as well. Since I finished Fifths last one, I'm moving onto yours now.

I also feel like vectoring Fifths drawing of abomination opposite me.

@Jimmy Lethal

>not posting the second one

She seriously cannot post the 2nd drawing of me here. It's quite explicit

@Moon Moon

I’m still not a fan of the title. I can’t for the life of me remember what exactly was chosen, but I’m not a fan of it.

LA LA LA LA CANT HEAR YOU

@Lunar

How often do YOU get a hug from anybody of any gender? How much body contact was there? How long was it? How awkward did it feel? and how did it feel afterwards?

Hmm…not that often, although the last one was few weeks ago? It was a decent cuddle. Contact went to…extensive lengths. Did not feel awkward at all. I enjoyed it.

That may have been a rhetorical question, but it almost sounds like the answer to the next question of "were you attracted to them?" would be "Yes."

… Which is kind of the point I was suggesting.

Blue Screen (of Death) wrote:

It was with one of my FWB's so that's a given. Do I feel attraction to random people I hug? No not really. I only consider hugging to be a sign of attraction under specific contexts

True, hugging might not be a sign of attraction, but considering the amount of potential subconscious "twitches" that could happen to suggest any kind on reservation about close contact with another; the fact that the ponies don't seem to posses any of those twitches at all suggests they might be at least open to the idea of same sex partners.

Which is probably about as much as I can hope to argue since as we all know, family shows generally have a rule of "don't even address the question" when it comes to this.

And on that note it's probably good to segue into arguing about pairings themselves rather than sexuality.

One thing I've never heard in arguments for TwiDash is the factor of how much Dash might remind her of someone she cares for in a familial sense.
By which I mean, the fact that both Rainbow Dash and Shinning Armour have connections to the military. With Shining Armour being the old Captain of the Guard, while Rainbow Dash is trying to become part of what's essentially the Air Force.

Of course… If anyone has ever argued anything close to that before… It might have been on an angle more akin to "Cute Witch X Knight".

So anyway, the last part of that mirror-universe arc in the comics came out. It's not on Yayponies yet, though, so I haven't had a chance to read it. Anyone see it yet? Any thoughts?

Platus said:

It single handedly turned a large part of /mlp/ against the comics and Price and Cook. I haven't read it, but I haven't liked what little I've seen and heard.

Remember the Mane Six vs AU Mane Six cover? The mirror mane six don't even appear in the comics. The arc primarily focuses on shipping Celestia with an AU version of Sombra with a subplot revolving around Twilight's doubts as a princess. According to most commentators, Sombra's as dry and bland as Flash was, Celestia risks omnicide of two universes because of her craving for the D, she replaces Luna with AU Luna, and Sombra rings several of the Mary Sue alarms (doesn't have any flaws, everyone likes him, shipped with a canon character, able to wield all six of the Elements)

Based on all of this, it appears the comic directly clashes with Celestia's canon personality, particularly regarding her seeming callousness for her sister (at one point, Luna asks her "If you missed me so much, why didn't you rescue me?" A question Celestia totally ignores) and her willingness to risk universal destruction--a far cry from the "I will defend my subjects." that Canterlot Wedding showed.

So I'll be ignoring this particular arc. Quite sad considering I was pretty hyped for a mirrorverse. I wanted cool evil ponies, not a new Celestia ship for people to fight about.

That all sounds massively disappointing. And I was enjoying the arc so much too, mostly for all of its world building and history. I can't believe they screwed it up so much.

I mean, I like the idea of giving Celestia a realistic personality. I think her show version is in desperate need of some realistic flaws, since all rounded characters have them. But if "adding flaws" simply amounts to making the freaking princess of the sun go boy-crazy in the stupidest way, then then it just does more harm than good.

Lez posted porn. Censored and tagged it. We banned him anyway. Because censor bars don't make porn SFW. End of story. Now as we Crimson said, lets keep this thread away from that topic

@Influx of drawings

Damn having all these other things to vector. I wanted to do all of that but you guys beat me to it. Haha. I gotta draw faster. Note to self: buy a tablet.

I'd upload all these to derpibooru but I'm worried that if I do it, people will think I'm shilling my own OC

Hey guys, sorry to interrupt your butts, but I thought of something. In the season finale, we saw every stage of Tirek's "evolution," as it were. This led me to the conclusion that the ponies he sapped were the only ponies he needed. Let me rephrase that: he only needed a mere fraction of Equestria's population to nearly take it over. Let's just say it was a really good thing they stopped him when they did.

So where were we again? Oh, right, plot.

Pony cameo in the new Transformers movie.

At one point Hasbro were probably okay with the Pony Plug in their movie. But then they realize that their pony is turned into a gun.

I can see this becoming the next controversy in the fandom….trust me man, this shit is enough to make /mlp/ shit bricks or something. Also, I want that Plush.

And animated:

Yep, Dashie is now a gun.
Personally, I liked her better before…

Is it weird that it took me a really long time to realize that this happened because Hasbro owns both MLP and Transformers?
I guess the Bay movies have taken on such infamy in themselves that I always forget they are related.

@Kewl
Speaking of 'want:'

Apparently, she's in some toy store in Australia, though.

On the more obtainable end of things:

4DE has one heck of a lineup on the way!

About a year ago, BlackGryphon and Michelle Creber recorded a pretty cool cover of 'Beat It.'
Now it has a video:

I don't know 90% of the OCs in here and I don't care.
Michael Jackson + Ponies + Dancing = Win!

So you're telling me that the Transformers movie features a Dash plushie that transforms into a rifle.

Sigh…goddammit

It's not the movie portraying ponies in the odd context that bothers me, it's the shitstorms that I KNOW are going to come. Brace yourselves for the "A PONY! MY DAY IS RUINED" crowd

On the other hand, those plushies are gorgeous. I want that applejack….and that Whooves…and that Derpy…and that Fluttershy…oh screw it just give me them all.

All joking aside, I get a little self-conscious whenever I stir up butt posting that I'm bothering other users. I suppose if nobody is verbalising any complaints, we might as well butt to our heart's content. Just keep in mind that the forum isn't just for butts. Butts are a sometimes food. If you want to post in a place just for butts, hop over to my wall and post things there. Butts are always welcome. Here on the forum, though, I'm trying to phase out the butt-posting habit I got into and get back to my stalker roots. If I mention butts here in the near future, somebody slap me with a newspaper.

You live in Australia? Born or just live there now? Because this thread is only big enough for ONE born-and-raised Oceanic person, and I don't want to fight an Aussie. You have boomerangs. We have gumboots.

Born here? Yes. Lived here forever? yeah.

Raised? Nope!

I wasn't even "raised" in any normal sense of the word so much as left with an absent pair of parents and a neglectful brother. Leaving me with the closest thing to parental figures being anime, cartoons and video games.

So it would be less boomerangs and more middle rank martial arts.

Well, you might need boomerangs when you're going to get that plushie if you live in Perth and the plushie's in Brisbane. Oh, and a rocket launcher, flamethrower, grenade launcher, minigun, sniper rifle, revolver, and numerous shotguns. The outback is a pretty scary place.

@Beat It PMV: That thing is freaking amazing.

I think the Transformers fandom's pretty relaxed about pony. There was that one IDW cover that had Optimus on it and there wasn't any complaining. It's probably because their fandom already deals with so much shit, they just take everything in stride. Their wiki's timeline, after all, begins with "The Big Bang creates the universe as we know it. The protons, neutrons, and electrons that will eventually compose Transformers are formed, ruining it forever."

>tfw the MLP wiki will never be as sarcastic and humorous as the Transformers Wiki is

Man, who knew that One day Michael Bay would make a cool franchise like Transformers suck and Lauren Faust would make a lame franchise into one of the biggest internet fandoms (at the moment).

Also Blue, I actually saw someone complain saying that the Transformers movies were now ruined forever because Michael Bay is a Brony. First thing first, I was surprised this guy thought this franchise wasn't ALREADY ruined by Shia Labeouf. Second, apparently he forgot that Transformers and My Little Pony are owned by Hasbro so obviously there would be a bit of Product Placement since considering Michael Bay's Transformers are LITERALLY Product Placement: The Movie. Anyone remember the Xbox 360 turning into a Decepticon in the first movie?

So yeah, apparently now people are jumping the gun thinking Michael Bay is a brony even though he probably doesn't give a shit about the show and thought that the best thing he could do with that Rainbow Dash Plush (which I still want) that Hasbro probably forced him to put in the movie was to either A. Blow it up or B. Turn it into a gun. I'm surprised he didn't blow it up though, but then again he already has the Transformers Crowd wanting him dead, he doesn't need the MLP crowd wanting him dead either.

TV Tropes lists MLP and Transformers as "Friendly Fandoms." Us Hasbrofags gotta stick together.

…Except you, Littlest Pet Shop. You go away.

Hey folks, we got a complaint about the butts. So just gonna ask you guys to spoiler your butts and tag it "Butts"

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to locate giant Rainbow Dash and extract her to a location of my choosing.
Our only intel indicates that she is currently being held within a compound known only as 'Myers Department Store.'
Best of luck, mate.

Okay, that's fine.

So…who's up for a tail thread?

I think Rainbow Dash's tail is really cool. It's colored like a rainbow, which makes sense when you think about it.

I've always liked the way Luna's tail wavers and his little star points in it.

The great and powerful Trixie's tail is actually rather boring and flat.

(BSoD: This is not something for mod powers to be getting involved with. If someone has a problem with all the butt, they can come in here and ask the thread to move onto another subject. Or they can just come back in a couple days when the butt fever has run its course and we're back to only posting butt occasionally. Having a mod come in and arbitrarily spoil some suggestive but non-explicit pictures is an extremely unwise policy as I hope this post illustrates.)

Edit: After having been censored, I have come to realize that the new official policy must be that any picture which contains butt, even pictures which only accidentally contain butt, are not allowed. Bit of a problem since ponies are usually naked with them butts hanging out and all…

Clearly there is only one option left to us.

@Fifths

Fine.

Spoiler your NSFW content (as defined by the NSFW Guidelines and as exemplified.)

sexually explicit language, gestures, expressions

These gestures and expressions are sexual/teasing/suggestive in nature and are NSFW as defined by KYM. If bouncing breasts with a happy, non-sexual expression is NSFW, then an image with a suggestive facial expression focusing on the butt is NSFW.

If there's something I can't stand, it's when people speak confidently about things they don't know about.
And then it's nearly infuriating when they try to get smart about it and think they made some grant point on the foundation of an incorrect assumption.
And it's downright disrespectful for that ignorant person to make a public post trying to shame a person trying to do their job. You know good and well BSOD isn't the type to enforce anything unless he has to. Why would you try to shame him on one of the few occasions he does?

The bad thing about it is that it's in the rules. It's not some policy that isn't given somewhere. You didn't have to assume anything, but you chose to anyway, because you're too confident in your opinions. So confident, that you didn't even bother to look at what BSOD was going by.

And don't even say "But there's an image here that should be spoilered, and it isn't." Most of the moderators here just don't have time to go through a gallery as deep as the Pony gallery to pick out every instance of an NSFW image.

I saw what was going on (hence my post). I just don't get involved, because this has happened before, I said the same thing before about NSFW content, it happened again, and I don't spend time on lost causes. I'd rather just let it go than to issues warnings and suspensions. I told BSOD that I personally didn't care, but he asked what the rules were. And out of the goodness of his heart, he spoilered everything and made a nice, pleasant post asking everyone to spoiler their images.

I have no real motive to be so nice in this situation.

Consider this a warning, Fifths. You got a nice one from BSOD. You went against it to make a bad/irrelevant point. That's enough reason for me to warn you.

Don't be a jerk. Especially when you're citing rules that don't apply to the site. It just makes you sound ignorant.

If you have a problem with the stupid NSFW rules (or at the very least our stupid interpretation of the rules), then you can find a relevant thread or start a new one if you'd like. Thanks.

Overall, as BSOD and Harshwhinny noted, some of the images on the past two pages weren't suggestive. The expressions or poses weren't specifically sexual or suggestive in nature, so not everything needed a spoiler. The Trixie image is probably fine. And a lot are borderline (i.e., just because a butt is in the picture, like Platus', doesn't mean it's suggestive. The context helps make the call.)
