You should see the plot synopsis on page 76, oh boy: spoilers

So instead of creating a spin-off with no connection to the original show, they're actually having the ponies go through a magical mirror into the human world? That's horrible, the premise alone is fanfiction tier, not even considering how they'll ruin the show's canon with this move. And they're already calling her "Princess Twilight Sparkle?" Just "Twilight" isn't good enough anymore?

Maybe it'll be like a Pokemon or DBZ movie where it is never mentioned or spoken of ever in the main show, and is just its own self-contained story (^_^;)………

Just noticed something about that synopsis: The last line, that was the same line used during Hasbro's Toy Fair presentation when the last MLP slide was shown. How bad is this really going to be? Dunno, but I'm packing a helmet for this ride.

Like I said I'm looking at Equestria Girls with an open mind, btw Evna, I think that's just the tagline they're just sticking with honestly.

Besides we're all forgetting one important piece of information: This has no effect on the rest of the show.

Hopefully the fans will embrace that line when season 4 begins. I've determined that if EqG is meh, I'll probably one and done it. Though someone dropped a pic in the gallery a few days ago that actually gave me hope IF it was new art for the show. As for having no effect on the show, one pony into a mysterious portal, that could work. All six ponies, too many lips to keep sealed (especially Pinkie)

For some reason… The fact its called a "Special", and not "series" has lowered my requirements on what would have to happen for me not to be completely disappointed.

…Mainly cause when I think "Special" I usually think of all those discontinuity "What IF"s. Along with the fact it will be approximately one episode, so it won't have to hock us for long, just long enough (1 hour?)

It's like saying "Schools out, lets have some fun because nobody really cares what we do right now."

…Those are always fun… Especially the AU Specials. Those are just crazy.

I don't know why, but this one word "Special" reminds me that I should leave my brain at the door…. Cause things are going to get weird… And not a single being in universe will ever want to speak of it again.

Happy birthday. Also, to answer your question about the live stream. I just want one live stream a weekend so we do not run out of content that fast. A stream can only be holster original content for so long so I want to maximize the amount of content we can show without the lineup getting bland, So that is my reason why we should only have one live stream per weekend.

You know, the amount I don't care about this new EQG development is quite surprising.

Anyways, I just watched The Best Night Ever, and I kinda forgot how much I love this episode. The amazing outfits, the glorious musical numbers, the mane 6 losing their shit, and good old Spike getting drunk off of donuts. Good times.

So… I got nothing… my mind just went blank… let me think for a second…

Um… ooh! I just arrived in Southern California an hour ago, staying with my cousin for two weeks! Anything interesting to look up while I'm here? (other than Stage Coach).

I can't decide if that synopsis made this thing sound more or less interesting…
On the one hand, a multi-dimensional adventure beginning because of a lost crown seems really silly.
On the other hand, as someone pointed out, it is billed as a 'special' which implies that it may just be a one-time event (made-for-TV movie) that will essentially exist outside of normal canon.
Also, while the synopsis is pretty corny, rather than the character just becoming humans for no real reason and farting around in a stereotypical 'high-school' setting, I do like that it seems to have some kind of motive that will be driving the plot.
Also also, I get the impression that it will be only Twilight traveling through this mirror meaning that the other characters will actually be 'from' this human universe.
I have to admit that the prospect of Twilight transforming and freaking out at seeing her friends represented in crazy new bodies is kind of funny to me.
Now, obviously there are no guarantees that any of that will happen, but I can see enough potential to hold out hope for something that is at least passable.
(And I swear, if they put a Lyra-colored girl in there who is obsessed with ponies, I will laugh until I die.)
We'll just have to see how they end up doing it n just a couple months now.

They have done well. They speak tactfully, articulately, and without regard for word count.

I stick to light lurking myself. In fact, for the first time in a while, I am not up on Poni news as much as I normally would be. I still like the show and fandom, and I'm probably more interested in what's going on now than I had been during Season 3, but I just haven't had the time in the past few weeks.

Someone else will have to fill you in on most of the things.

  This on the new Teen Titans spin-off is the most recent event. The episode focused on Raven trying to get everyone else out of the Tower so she could watch "Pretty Pretty Pegasus."
• Synchtube has bitten the dust. There are other sites, but I've only been in on one event.
• I forget if this happened before or after the finale, but Lauren Faust is helping Mane 6 with creating a game. She's making and allowing Mane 6 to use her own characters (which removed the isssue Hasbro had with it.) They won't be ponies, but I believe they will be quadrupeds.

Most people have theorized that we will be getting a Pinkie-styled alpaca/llama, an AJ cow, and a Rarity reindeer.
Someone even tried to fill in the silhouettes.

Then again, silhouettes are tricky…

Maybe I've been on KYM way too much, but a part of me hopes the deer ends up being teal colored

Sorry for being disorganized this week, I have been busy as I have said before.

Looks like a few newslike things have occurred recently which is cool and all, but more importantly the CMU weekly pony chalking has happened!

There was also a picture taken with the club posing behind the chalking, but I have no idea where on the planet earth that image currently is. If it surfaces I'll put it in the gallery. We plan to make at least one more chalking before the semester ends (probably next Saturday), hopefully it'll be a big'un.

Not anywhere near L.A., Derpy. In a little town called "Indio," I believe, or something like that… near Stage Coach. Yes, I am shamefully a loving and adoring fan of country, western, and rockabilly music. I just love it so…

I'm throwing money at the screen… WHY ISN'T ANYTHING HAPPENING?

So since I spent much of my day on SAT prep, I couldn't help but wonder, does equestria have anything like the SAT? They have a school system that seems vaguely analogous to the US education system, but their society has a much larger focus on self discovery than ours. does the cutie mark system eliminate the need for something like an SAT? even with cutie marks is there still basic knowledge all ponies are expected to know?

It seems that for the most part education is not as big of a deal in Equestria as it is in the human world. My theory is that every pony has required school time up to what would be our equivalent of about 5th grade or so. For the most part the young ponies go to school from a fairly young age (let's just say 5 or so) and learn basic math, science, reading skills, etc. They then find their cutie mark, finish up their basic studies, and then go into apprenticeships, or go onto further studies that are more specific to their talents, or do whatever they need to do to prepare themselves for their lives with their discovered talent.

So what if your special talent isn't growing apples or flying fast? What if your special talent is in something more complex like the math and sciences like this guy

Or hell, even learning and mastering magic like Twilight?

Well then there would be a need for special schools and pony universities (like Celestia's magic school that Twilight is enrolled in). And as we have seen in The Cutie Mark Chronicles Twilight had to go through an application process and entrance exam to get into the school, so I think it's safe to say that most if not all of the specialty schools and universities in Equestria have a similar application process and/or entrance exam. And so, if the education system is to mimic the US, that would probably call for a standardized test similar to an SAT. Of course, the ponies might be taking something like an SAT at a much younger age seeing as ponies in equestria discover and pursue their dreams far sooner than humans do. I don't think Equestria has high schools… Does it?

So yeah, I think it'd make sense for there to be an Equestrian parallel to an SAT.
