Ya'll should announce the next stream a little more ahead of time. I would've gone to the one today but I didn't see it was up until it was too late. My internet is finally ready for all the streaming in the world, if Steam is to be believed:

8.5 exabytes per second isn't too shabby I guess. I always enjoy the meaningful yet sporadic company of everyone here as we quickly run out of entertaining videos to show each other, even as our connections fail us.

EDIT: New page? I never asked for this.

OK… if you could live anywhere in Equestria BUT Ponyville (cause I know most of you would say that), where would you live?

Personally, I would choose to live in Los Pegasus, mainly since it's a pony version of California, which I visited once. It's near beaches, it's a large city, and I would find it safe to say the main population would be Pegasi!

And for all of you? Where would you live?

Hollow Shades…

Cause since all of Equestria seems to have the same amount of Electricity… Which is almost none… I'll have to go with the place with the British Gothic Aesthetic.

…Although you have to zoom in on the map to see that.

Anyways, Like I've said before, that's the one place I expect to see some more interesting stuff like Pone-Wolves, Bat Ponies and other Halloween-town style Friendly but weird stuff.

Also… It's dark, so if for some reason I am inexplicably a pony I won't need to pay out the nose for a new pair of shades, I just have to hang around there where it's dark.

For those that can't find it on the map, it's a little North East of Canterlot, in the middle of a forest, just past a named mountain.

…Anyways, this choice is neck and Neck with Manehatten… because it's a big city… And those are nice…

…Just saying.

Note taken, in fact I will make the announcement more prominent.

KYMPG, I ask the question, should the stream stay on Sunday? Use the poll provided to signify when you want the stream. Voting will end April 26th, 2013. You can only vote once so chose wisely.

Poll
If you have any objections, questions or concerns then leave a message on the forum or in my inbox. The stream is a community event and you are the people who make it worthwhile, so feedback is needed on this decision. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Edit: the poll has been recreated to fix some errors, if you have voted previously then vote again, sorry for the inconvenience.

@Place to live:

I'd probably settle in Manehattan. I grew up in the suburbs in the south, so I was in that in between -- not actually country nor actually city. Even so, never thought the suburbs were somewhere I'd be comfortable as an adult, and I enjoy the amenities too much to live in the country, so I'd definitely go for a big city feel.

Plus, I'm pretty sure I'd fare well on Wall Street:

Where would I live?

South of the Apploosan Mountains and the Swamps of New Horseleans, but North-East of the Forest of Leota. Or, more specifically,

Here.

Just so I can walk around saying,

"Am I the only colt around here who has any balls!?"

Cloudsdale.

Because it's the only safest place next to Ponyville! (Duh.)
And just cause rainbows.
(What's better than a city in the sky that produces rainbows?)

I bet they produce that rainbow-colored sour Airheads too. And Skittles!
It's like Christmas, except with blue, yellow, orange, indigo, and violet.

Do we get to shower in rainbow… showers?
Can we wreak havoc with the weather on April Fools?

@Tim's poll
Why not both?
There's nothing stopping anyone from hosting a stream whenever they feel like it so, while having one set time that everyone knows about for a 'big' stream is great, anyone could start one up at anytime.
Post about it here and people will come.

@Living in Equestria
I'd probably have to go with Los Pegasus as well.
(See ya there, mark!)
Yeah, it's not really an 'adventurous' choice since I already live in Southern California, but I love the weather and pegasi are awesome!
Really, the best part about it all seems to be that none of the cities are all that far away from each other so a particular choice doesn't bind you too much.

CrazyC said:

“Am I the only colt around here who has any balls!?”

Yeah, because doing that would certainly ensure your safety in that particular region.
One thing about sentient creatures being 'gelded?'
They probably won't take to kindly to newcomers wandering around and rubbing their noses in it.
(And I mean that both figuratively and literally, though the latter probably applies to just about anyone.)
You won't be unique for long…

Now, on to a slightly more serious matter:
Lauren Faust needs our help!
And to pique your interest, she asks a question: How bad do you want to name an alligator 'Gummy?'
(In fact, the offer winds up including not only the aforementioned alligator, but also a rabbit, an owl, and a tortoise, all with their 'expected' names!)
Essentially, donations to a very good cause could make such a thing a reality.
Just for fun, she also included some little sketches that are also her very first drawings of Angel and Gummy.

You forgot to mention that if you donate you get to join Lauren Faust and Tara Strong for a Critter party.

I'd live in Baltimare, if only because I have no idea what it looks like and I like the water.

@ DeadParrot

@ Alligator Naming
Where is this going on? I would like to go, but I'm never invited to anything in the States…

But I would seriously love to name a bunny Angel! Unfortunately, I have a rabbit, which is different from a bunny, yet most people don't know the main difference in the ears.

The bunny is on the left, and the rabbit is on the right.

What's funny is I actually made a map of Equestria.

My OC Ace lives in Los Pegasus, even though he's a unicorn. I would probably live there, too.

That's actually a place?!?

Well, this leads to all kinds of nightmarish implications.

'How come there is such a radically higher number of female ponies than male ponies?"

The answer is there isn't…chromosomally. Half of Equestria's 'females' are really just males that have been castrated and returned to society and forced to live as mares. It's a way to insure that the ridiculously peaceful standards of Equestria aren't broken by those with a little more testosterone than they can handle. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LIVE IN A DICTATORSHIP/MATRIARCHY!

Oh God…Rainbow Dash…what did they do to you? (inb4 fic of Rainbow Dash starting life out as a colt, being deemed too irrascable, getting gelded, and trying to find a way to live 'her' life and remain awesome in a new body.)

@If I could live anywhere in Equestria

I wouldn't live in just one place. I'd travel around. I wanna see it all. Take in all the sites and meet all the pony folk. So I would be a hobo, essentially.

Seeing as my OC is unicorn master race, I would obviously be living among the Canterlot elite selling my work at fine arts galleries that go for millions of bits.

Nah, that's too snobby for me

I think I'll live in Appleloosa instead because Braeburn because they have horse drawn horse drawn carriages because of the big hats ok it's because of Braeburn.

Although I might be more of the traveling pony. I would come from a small town like Appleloosa, where my family works at the orchard, but my artistic talent would not make me unlike Rarity, yearning for more outside of the small desert town. And so I would be off, traveling Equestria after having multiple affairs with Braeburn. It was a forbidden love that nopony could ever find out about. Letting the different landscapes and ponies inspire my work. Hell, maybe I'd even learn the lighter than air spell so that I can visit Cloudsdale! I would make sure visit my family often, because no matter how far away from home I went, I would always smell the apple pies calling me home. Eventually, I would settle in Manehattan and become a famous storybook artist.

Hey, I just wrote a backstory for my OC :D

KYM PONY GENERAL IN A NUTSHELL

And now you're like:

@Fifths and Matriarchy/Castration Conspiracy

That would explain why in "Magic Duel" Trixie was so surprised when Twilight was apparently capable of turning Applejack into a stallion. It wasn't the mere gender swap that she found impossible, but being able to undo a castration (assuming, of course, that Applejack is not actually a mare but instead a castrated stallion, which isn't hard considering here physical prowess). It'd make sense, because if it were possible to undo a castration magically, then it'd follow that males would secretly be working behind the scenes to get their manhoods back and there'd be more males present than there are.

Instead, when she says, "Nopony can do those spells," she means that nobody can undo Celestia's work.

I found the following proposal while browsing /mlp/ since /b/ has been invaded by spam-bots, /m/ never updates and /s4s/ has been conquered by le master trole.

Warning: The following headcanon may melt your brain and cause cringe beyond your wildest imagination

If you haven't gotten the implied proposal yet and aren't currently in the corner full on fetal position, I will explain.

Obviously the top image shows Twilight's Mom and Dad aand the bottom Twi and Trixie.

However, observe Twilight's Dad's cutiie mark and the cutie mark of Trixie.

Both incorporate the lunar crescent in some way shape or form. Typically, as shown by the apple family's cutie marks all dealing with apples and the Royal Sisters having a celestial inspired marks, cutie mark design is a hereditory trait. However, such a relationship can be said to be a case of "correlation =/= causality" unless further correlation within the field of study can be established.

Now observe the color scheme of Twi's Dad and Trixie. Their coats are somewhat similar and have similar hue ranges. Now, from study of other pony families, color duplication is not a clear indicator of being descended from each other. Moreover, as shown with the Cakes, the children only inherit one or two the hues of one of their parents (Both Pumpkin and Pound have a cream colored coat, of which, cream color is only a few saturation levels away from their fathers coat color, orange. Trixie's coat color is only a bit lighter that Twi's Dad's coat color, thereby falling within the range of possible genetic descendance. This is our second case of correlation.

Third, observe the mane similarities. Trixie's mane style has a slight wave as does her tail. Twi's dad has a very wavy mane and tail. Often times, hair patterns can be diluted when passed from parent to child. A child can have wavy hair when their mother has curly hair and their father straight hair. In MLP, the mane and tail are analogous to hair.

Lastly, take these correlations and try to compare Trixie to Twi's Mom and subsequently Twilight. It can be reasonably assumed that many Twilight's mom's genes are dominant as both Twilight and Shining Armor more resemble their mother in many ways. Both Twilight and her mom have noticeably different color streaks in their manes. Trixie has streaks, but hers are just hue different from her mane's base color. Twi and her mom both have straight, thin manes and tails. Trixie has a full mane and tail. Twi and her mom have slight curved manes and tails whose curvatures can be assumed to be naturally constant and singular. Trixie's mane has two countering curvatures to her mane. Twi and her mom lack a widow's peak, despite Twi's dad having one. Trixie has a widow's peak.

The correlation =/= causality fallacy only holds up when when the correlation is isolated and has no other analogous relationships within the studied data. If there is at least three correlations whose individual contexts differ but whose overall fields of study coincide, correlation can no longer be assumed to not equal causality. We have three cases of Trixie bearing resemblance to Twilight's dad and more of her not resembling Twi's mom. "Correlation =/= causality" fallacy can be subverted in this case.

What does this mean?

Trixie could be related to a member of Twilight's immediate family.

A possible corollary to this theory is that Twi's dad had another foal with a mare other than Twilight's mom. This theory would then make Trixie Twilight's half-sister, and those two immediate family members.

This would also make all Twixie ships EXTRA ICKY-CREEPY, OMG-RIP-EYEBALLS-OUT-WITH-MELONBALLER INCEST FICS.

YOU MORONS JUST COMMITTED A WINCEST SHIP.

ARE YOU PROUD?!

That or I'm overanalyzing a cartoon, whose base priniciple is not to be 100% realistic and a fantasy. Hue

That or I'm overanalyzing a cartoon, whose base priniciple is not to be 100% realistic and a fantasy. Hue

I like it!
Especially under the implication that Twilight and Trixie don't realize their relation.
That just makes it more fun!
(And I like how that last part tries to make it sound like the incest angle makes it less appealing… on /mlp/…)

I have noted a distinct lack of Die Hard references after the first page so…

@thegreato
I originally saw that Derpy picture tagged as a Willy Wonka parody, but yes, I can all but guarantee that it was intended to be a reference to Bioshock Infinite.
If only Fink had manufactured muffins, perhaps everything would have turned out better in Columbia.

The topic was on Twi x Trix shipping and the possibility of them being related
But if you want a poll
Celestia x Luna is the best

Berry Punch X Cheerilee.

Yes, I think they're sisters.

Entirely off-topic, but I found this topic from years ago. Oh, how much I sucked at storytelling back then.

I think we all know the answer to this question:

(Though they're technically not related in this, but whatever!)

Real talk now, the non-incest related parts of that are probably the most interesting bits of fan speculation I've ever read. (besides there's probably already clopfics out there that cast Trixie and Twilight as sisters just to work that angle anyways, amirite?) Should we start to wonder if them being related somehow will turn out to be canon or if that was at least an intended implication?

@where in the wide wide world of equestria would I want to live

Can't forget that dragons and shit inhabit this world, so I'm probably going to the place with the most walls to cower behind – Canterlot. It's also got a certain ambiance about it that I like.

Unrelated cute pones

Lunestia, obviously. Even more so when you toss Twilight into the mix.

How could that not be best incest? Granted, technically they're both focusing on Twilight, but I digress.

Celestia X Luna all the way, but now that I see Big Mac X AJ…

…I always wondered who Apple Bloom's parents were.

That would be a huge twist if it turned out they weren't actually related and were applebloom's parents. AJ got pregnant off of Mac when she was really young and doesn't want to appear as a bad role model or is just ashamed of it so she lies to applebloom. like in that one episode of doctor who with the gas mask kid. Maybe Dash or Twi could be the ones to catch on and reveal their secret. Somebody get on that fanfic, I ain't got the time to do it myself.

Oh man, now I just got another idea. What if Apple Bloom wasn't related to the Apple family at all?

Picture this: One day Apple Bloom gets her cutie mark and it has nothing to do with apples. She realizes that the rest of her family has cutie marks that have something to do with apples. She questions her sister and brother about it and they both reveal that she's adopted. Someone write that fanfic.

@below

Sorry, I don't read alot of fanfics

Applebloom as AJ & Big Mac's foal.
Applebloom is adopted.

Crazy theories, go!

What if: we're all just part of a runaway spell Twilight cast. She's been playing the role of Tara Strong and has been trying to find a way to shut down the spell, but is now stuck in a Moral Dilemma as her spell has gained sentience. Hasbro's really a front and is controlled by Equestria. What we see as "My Little Pony" is really magical feedback from the Princesses trying to contain the spell before it destroys Equestria.

In order to keep the ruse going, the Princesses created Hasbro to broadcast the feedback as a television show. Since the feedback is interfering with Twilight's spell, it's causing some strange anomalies to develop: Bronies. Now, Twilight (as Tara Strong) is trying to figure the bronies out. If she can unravel the mysteries behind the anomalies, she might be able to safely terminate the spell without killing us all.

And that's why Tara Strong Twilight has a twitter account.
