Well, I'm going back home in two (really one, since I leave very early) days back to California! While I will miss Comic Con (damned procrastination), I will no doubt be enjoying some beaches, family, and Lyra! But mostly Lyra

Is it just me, or has the thread slowed to a crawl? It must be that damn Steam Sale. I just can't stop buying games for $2.50! I even bought Syberia, and I hate point and clicks! Can you imagine if ponies ever had a sale like this?

Comic Con starts this Thursday and so does what will probably be our biggest chance for a shitstorm until we get some S4 leaks. I hope it'll be fun, because the last few storms (SAAC, EqG, Faust's /mlp/ visit) have been greatly overhyped and left me disappointed. What's the point of being in a fandom if I can't enjoy all the drama?

Yeah, in case anyone was unaware and curious, Sweet Apple Acres Con has been postponed.
Essentially, their venue seems to have bailed on them, though obviously we don't know all the details on why.
It really hasn't been much of a storm (seeing as how most people here didn't even seem to know it happened), but it basically just restarted the whole 'oversaturation of pony conventions' conversation.
There hasn't been much argument though, because I think most people are in agreement, so there's not really much to argue about.
There were/are apparently 33 different pony conventions that were/are scheduled in the U.S. for this year alone.
That's way too many and it's a completely unsustainable system that is highly prone to failure.
A smaller number of larger, more professionally organized cons each year is a far better solution.

Okay… Mild Thing…

I'm working on an Update for a Tumblr Ask Pony Comic… And… Well… Having Trouble Refining the colors of one pony in the cast.

On one hand, it's a Darkish Coated Pony, Medium Greyish, with a Lyra Colored Mane… Which May or may not be Eyeball Wrenching… Or not… I don't know… (Only had one other person look at it who said its okay, and though I personally think its a bit bright, my eyes think everything is too bright.)

…On the Other hand… The basic character concept is practically "Deep Sea Pony"… And a lot of Deep Sea Creatures have Glowing bits and otherwise Dark Skin. Which… Would probably mean the Design would make sense…

So… Yeah… Not sure if its a thing I can get away with or not.

Seeing as someone already used the "Can't see shit" image on this page I'll just have to say it: Can't see shit.

The spoiler works fine, I think it's the link of the image that 'ruins' it, because the code you used for the image was the right one.

The colours of the seapony work for me. I think it's kinda cool how the mane and fins stand out with the bright colours.

As for not being able to see the image embed, I don't know how long it takes before someone else can see that.

For the image posting (Post img), do you mean the <img src="URL"> code? I myself only use that one when needing to resize images, when posting from my ipod (as it always reloads a page when I revisit it, thus also deleting already typed stuff. So I just resize images, instead of looking up the spoiler code). But it indeed can be unpredictable.

and I don't know what it is but Apple Cobbler has a pretty cool look in my opinion, she's a favorite of mine in the Apple Family, and she looks extremely cute with glasses on yet she's always the butt of everyone jokes, sometimes literally..

I looked up Apple Strudel, and that is an Austrian pastry, so German was pretty close.

Apple Colber has a nice colourscheme for her mane and tail. She indeed does look cute with her glasses

Uncle Apple Strudel is a boss, I had one of those crazy fan moments when I saw him in the Family Reunion.
