Creepypasta General

As you can tell by the title this is yet another thread for creepypastas! What makes this one different from the ones before? Well this one has several rules in place for starters.

1. No Crappypastas!: In short a crappypasta are creepypastas that it trying to be scary but just fails it either due to either because of terrible spelling and grammatical errors, over use of blood and gore, or the quality was just utter shit because the author was either copying from another (usually better) creepypasta or urban legend or he/she was just lazy. examples of crappypastas include: Sonic. EXE, Sally. EXE (really any sonic creepypasta), and Star Fox 6664. I'll stop here cause there's a lot of crappypastas out there.

2. Keep the amount of Trollpastas minimum: Trollpastas are like crappypastas but on like the latter the former are bad on purpose, usually to parody or mock the creepypasta genre. With the threads like these I know someone is eventually going to post "who was phone" or "then a skeleton pops out" and for the most part I will allow them since this thread was made for fun. What I don't want to see is people here spamming trollpastas one after the other, this is Creepypasta General not Trollpasta general (at least not until April Fools comes).

3. No X-rated photos: Alright this one is simple. Under no circumstance are you allow to post images depicting crime scene photos, graphic medical images, and outright pornography. Mainly because those are the rules of the site and by breaking them you risk suspicions or banning. linking to said X rated content is slightly allowed but you most leave a warning to what said link leads to and has for screamers they get the same treatment as Trollpastas, only more severer.

4. Myths, Urban Legends, and Conspiracy Theories are allowed: There are in fact creepypastas that were inspired by real world myths and legends or they used said myths and legends for their story. This rule allows people to post any myth, legend, and conspiracy theory that you believe fits in with creepypasta. Examples includes Mothman, Ghostly Hitchhikers, MK Ultra, and many more.

5.Keep all criticisms fair: Yes not only can you post creepypastas and creepy images but you can also critique them. When critiquing a creepypasta be fair to highlight on both it's flaws and it's successes (which will vary from person to person) and also give out examples in how the creepypasta could be improved. But if someone posts a crappypasta then you have all rights to mock and insult the pasta as your hearts contend.

6. Have fun: I really got nothing to say for this on here.

If for whatever reason any of these rules prove to be a detriment to this thread then please contact me and notify which rule is the problem, I will try the best I can find a possible solution. So with that out of the way let the fun begin.

Insert poorly drawn picture of The Rake saying "time to killed people" here

I knew someone was going to eventually to post a trollpasta here (either because they didn't read the rules or did it for the lulz is now irrelevant). But to see that old dead joke here is quite a surprise (then again I shouldn't be). Because I know that this creepypasta would be too long for the forums to take I'm going to leave a link to a creepypasta classic by the name of Psychosis.

I'm pretty sure people know more about 1999 because of this video.

It definitely wasn't popular before TatsTopVideos made a countdown of creepypastas because the creepypasta was posted late 2012.

I also really like Gateway to the Mind as my favorite creepypasta. It raises so much questions; could something like this really happen? Is there some way to contact God? I ask myself questions, which is what any good creepypastas should do. Not linear ones like Slenderman or The Russian Sleep Experiment.
The latter being the one that isn't tainted by 12-year olds, and is actually good.

I already knew about Sonic.EXE being moved to both the trollpasta and crappypasta wiki but the part with the author making a huge rant against that and asking for "fans" of the work to support it is comedy gold, even though I didn't know about it until now.

Now here's a video showing 15 ritual based creepypastas.

Ted the Caver will probably always be my fave. Well, I guess I'll do a few criticisms on a few big creepypastas.

Sonic.exe and gaming creepypastas: Boring. It was innovative at the time it came out in a way, but this has been done so much and beaten far past its death that I can't stand any creepypastas of this kind at all. Overall, I just hate gaming creepypastas. Every single one is the same. If you've read one, you've read them all. BEN DROWNED is the only one that really stood out because of the video "evidence" presented.

Russian Sleep Experiment: It's okay I guess. I know it's considered a classic and all that, but I don't see it. The ending was lackluster and most of the ways it tried to be creepy were gore-related.

SCP Foundation: I absolutely love this site. It's overall so well done and it really seems like an actual foundation for creepy shit.

Who was phone?: Greatest creepypasta of all time. It's fantastic in every sense of the word. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The emotional, psychological horror thriller that is "Who was phone?" is an absolute masterpiece and will remain my favorite creepypasta forever.

EDIT: All right, I almost forgot about Killswitch. Killswitch is actually another gaming creepypasta that stands out to me. The ending is great.

I agree with you about the state of most game related creepypastas and I too think that Ben Drowned, Killswitch, and the NES Godzilla Creepypasta are the few exceptions to the old notion that most gaming creepypastas suck. With that one out of the way I should mention that there a few gaming creepypasta that I like but aren't as good as those three, think of them has guilty pleasures. I still like Russian Sleep Experiment even if the ending was lackluster. The way it was written I wouldn't be surprised if it was somehow connected to the SCPverse. Speaking of SCP you and me both share the same opinion about it.

Who was phone is overratted in my personal opinion. I mean everyone keeps on saying that it's the Citizen Kane of Creepypasta but really I've seen many creepypastas done the psychological horror approach better then it. Plus I felt that the main protagonist was a douche and the main heroine's emotions felt that of a robot then a human being. But I will admit that the daughter's dead father stole the show the moment he got involved, best character of the creepypasta, it was a shame he only appeared for a few lines. To end my short review I give Who was Phone 5 dead fathers out of ten. Stay tune for my next review where I review Spongebob.EXE, the underground hit among the members of the creepypasta community, with guest host by the ghost of LezHuarez.

Jeff the Killer has a rushed, nonsensically bad ending. Everyone should know what I'm talking about.

That's just one of the many problems with that creepypasta. Hell one of the reasons it's well known now (besides the loads of fanart and fanfics) is how narm worthy his origin story is.

I agree with you on gaming creepypasta. Even in creepypastas with made up games are just formulaic and boring. Like Pale Luna and The Theater, they are exactly the same. It's ridiculous. Pale Luna was somewhat different but they follow a laughably similar path.

The only gaming creepypastas that I know that doesn't involve getting a mysterious disc/cartridge/flash drive, is Mr.Bones Wild Ride, which was stupid. When there's a creepypasta about Rollercoaster Tycoon, you know that the quality of internet stories in general is declining rapidly.

This one's called Rap Rat. I find it woefully underappreciated in the Creepypasta community. I don't know exactly what it is, but something about this story is just so effective.

Oh how i love raprat, i wouldn't say that word for months because of that pasta, also someone needs to make a meme out of that "he's raprat, he's the boss". Mostly because that reminds me of:

Can I just state my disgust for the majority of the fandom?

I must say, I was once proudly part of the creepypasta fandom, but not a few months later, I left, disgusted with the 90% of the fandom. That ninety percent just romanticizes the stories with shipping, kid-ifies it, and make it cutesie. And if you didn't agree with the fangirls, you would be criticized. And I've yet to find a decent creepypasta OC. Really, the OCs are basically re-hashes of Jeff the Killer, Masky and Hoody, ETC. Somehow I couldn't find the fans that were in it for the horror content.

Freaking finally someone addresses this goddamn issue! I am sick and tired of these idiot fan girls of creepypastas where they fall in love with slenderman and Jeff the killer and ruin it for others! I've talked to the fan girls and asked them about creepypastas like "Abandoned by Disney" "1999" and "Ronald McDonald House" But they didn't have the slightest clue what they were! not to mention they find things like sonic And Jeff the killer still the scariest things ever.
Sigh sorry for my idiot ranting I'm just sick and tired of the creepypasta fandom going downhill because of the kid demographic of it ruining what is actually creepy about it. We need more genuine creepypastas to be praised not "haunted games" or "lost episodes" or what i consider the "only scary because of the face" kind of creepypastas. We need more creepy pastas like Tupla or Strangest Security tape I've ever seen, or really ones that actually descend into insanity or creep you out too the point where your mind will twist reality to make everything scary. Sorry for my pointless rant you may go about your night now.
