wow I made it all the way to the article totally thinking that said "employees" and I was like why can't you believe her employees are suing her, what are they suing for?

Then I saw it and remembered the whole ugly situation.

this world just either gets sadder or sillier each day. how do you think this'll pan out? i've heard court cases where leeches were put on trial taken somewhat seriously, you think this'll at least get acknowledged?

uhhh it's probably more likely than not to get acknowledged in Louisiana. Her ex is also suing her to try and have the two fertilized embryos implanted in a surrogate because he still wants the babies even though she doesn't. The uncertainty is because they were already 90% through the process, they're fertilized and they're viable, they just needed to be implanted. Sofia Vergara is on the other side trying to have them destroyed. Sooo, yeah. As the technology improves the legal has to make sense of it all. I remember reading recently about a guy who donated sperm for a lesbian couple who then divorced and tried to get him to pay child support lmao.

What a clickbait title. Her (frozen) embryos aren't suing, her ex fiancee is suing for "custody." What an ugly case.

This is why you wait until after you're married to have kids. Then you don't open up the ethics can of worms mixed in with nice helping of abortion debate (which I personally don't tihnk applies here given the embryos aren't in her anymore).

The female embryos are listed as plaintiffs “Emma’’ and “Isabella” in the Louisiana court papers

yeah about that

Let's make this situation even stupider and call them Renesmee and Edward Jacob Jr.

Yeah I'm just gonna edit the title a bit, changing "by" to "for".

I am of the opinion that we were forced into an alternate time line as a side effect of the eldritch rituals meme magicians used to get Trump elected.
