It's almost new year, we're leaving 2016 and entering 2017. What do you guys think will happen in 2017, will it be better or worse than 2016? Do you guys have any hopes or plans to achieve in 2017?

I'm thinking about going for a higher education, applying for a master degree in international business in China. It's one of my biggest plan for next year. Another one is studying language, especially Chinese (for enrollment), Japanese, and perfecting my English, I just love learning language. Other small plans might be read more books and spend less time playing video game.

I'm wrapping up a case statement/plea for funds and filing paperwork to establish my non-profit when I get back to NV. I can fundraise as soon as I'm official so I'm aiming to start spamming angel investors with that plea by February. Best case scenario I'm given a derelict property downtown by the city and have a redevelopment plan in place/starting construction by 2018.

I'm hoping for about $12,000 of scholarship money from an exam I sat earlier this month. I'll find out the results of that around March – I've been told I'm a strong candidate, so fingers crossed. I, like, really need the money right now.

I'll continue working to transfer to college in the US. I got an interview offer from Princeton earlier this week which is a good marker of progress but there is still a lot to be done. I will find out the results of my efforts around June onward. For now, there's not much else I can do other than maintain a good GPA next year and try to win a few awards to round out my application.

The main big thing I want to happen is for my dad and I to take a long trip. Either travel Route 66 or visit the Center for Animal Research and Education in Bridgeport, Texas (home of BigCatDerek). Also my family's been invited to see the new house of my second cousin who lives in Pennsylvania, so then there that possibility. Anything involving long distance travel is always great with me.

Continuing my education with a GI Bill is one plan I have aside from filling out a supplemental form for a university I'm trying to enter.

Also, happy new year, even if it's 11 minutes late in where I'm from.

Here's to 2017.
