I feel like I see more and more spanish posts pop up. Is there a reason for this?

We have always tried to collect memes in other languages/from other cultures. For example, we tend to jump on Japanese memes very quickly – usually before western Twitter fully picks them up.

The short answer is "we have more Spanish users so we can write better entries now".

Spanish is actually the most abundant language and most populous demographic online overall, so it is not strange that we are starting to see more of it each year, specially as it slowly mixes with pop culture media the same way English memes and trends do.

I assure you that Spanish memes and trends have always been a thing with solid online presence and I have for some time actually wondered if KYM would one day catch up to them, and who knows, it very well may someday. Hell, replacing all 2-3 day lifespan USA "memes", "trends" and politics with actual memes and trends from Spanish-speaking countries would exponentially increase the site's content quality, really.
