Actually being serious with this question: do you participate in No Nut November? And if so, why?

I personally don't. I understand for some people they do it as a way to combat worries of porn addiction, but I feel like in recent years the vast majority of comments I see regarding NNN read more like people participating in a viral internet challenge, a benign one sure, but one that sound like they're trying to do something without fun or send a message. That's just my view though and in the end I don't really care if someone does or doesn't want to participate in NNN, I'm just saying the majority of comments I see as of late make me sorta do an eyeroll. I personally don't suffer from any form of porn addiction and really only masturbate like once a week as is.

I don’t really care about it.

Also, if memory serves, wasn’t this something that the alt-right came up with (sex negative under the guise of “porn addiction”), but then got appropriated for everyone else for the most part?

The other way around. It was supposed to be something satirical that was adopted to be a real thing that the far right/alt right tried to co-opt.

No Nut November was basically every month for me until I a bit after I started living on my own, which when I was 26. My mother was actually fairly strict about such things, and my aunt would have been pretty unhappy with me if she found out. I think that I refrained long enough to never have to bother with the challenge.

I tried it one year, when it was getting out of control for me. My body was sinking into this rut where I just felt compelled to do it every day, whether or not I even enjoyed it, so I tried NNN to snap out of it. And for a week, it really helped me out. A good mental reset to remind myself that it's a want, not a need.
I lasted three weeks total, but really, the benefits capped off after that first week. Just give that a try if you feel like you need it.

It’s basically an internet challenge that people do because “lol internet points make brain feel good”. I personally don’t care and won’t do it since Im busy and I rather not do a dumb internet challenge for clout.

I wonder what you're "busy" with ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

No cause its not nearly as beneficial as memed about for people who aren't really having issues (and for those half a month cold turkey is likely enough to return to healthily pattern), and can actually be an issue in itself depending, and I've already got a low enough drive it doesn't matter to me, if I did it without even thinking about it during peak of puberty then I don't care if my random pattern lands on a day in November.

The old no-fap version which was aimed at getting people out there for a partner was a far better one.

These past few years I’ve tried to complete a NNN challenge but alas I often relapse a week or two into it by nutting to images and animations of furry, transgender, tentacle, hypnosis, inflation, high school girl, beastailty, loli, demon, transformation, bullying hentai. (But sometimes normal porn)
