So why is it that Sesame Street knows what's going on over the Internet, but Oprah, Fox News, and California police officers don't?

Guys, I think you are forgetting that it was an Old Spice commercial.
It was not internet-exclusive commercial.
While I think this is pretty cool, I don't think it means the writers are internet-savvy.
They are just spoofing tv pop culture, like they did with Mad Men and True Blood.
Now, the writers for Cartoon Network's MAD cartoon on the other hand…
