So why is it that Sesame Street knows what's going on over the Internet, but Oprah, Fox News, and California police officers don't?

Well Script writers need something new, and the internet is filled with all sorts of content, makes sense to me.

Guys, I think you are forgetting that it was an Old Spice commercial.

It was not internet-exclusive commercial.

While I think this is pretty cool, I don't think it means the writers are internet-savvy.

They are just spoofing tv pop culture, like they did with Mad Men and True Blood.

Now, the writers for Cartoon Network's MAD cartoon on the other hand…

So does that make it a Universal meme?

Universal sounds too broad, I just consider it popular culture.
