I both hate and love twitter. I love twitter because I get to see neato pieces of art and pretty cool takes. I hate twitter because it banks off discourse and petty slap fights over creativity. Twitter saps so much joy that the only entertainment people can hope for is yet another callout post or someone did a oopsie. It doesn't have to be political but people just love to be anal about it.

there was a tweet about elon wario with a quote retweet that went sorta like "the fate of this tweet determines the fate of this website" or something like that
i wish i uploaded the quote retweet while i had the chance because that's DEFINITELY the direction that site went in
I wish Tumblr never suffered the fate and other crap didn't happen because Twitter would be an okay site to browse
I hope the people who thought Husk would lead to the site's downfall are happy, 'cause so far that hasn't arrived in any form that would benefit anyone who actually wants the internet to be a better place.

> Elon backing down from Brazil ban and making himself look bad in the process
> Cards against humanity coming for his ass in court
ok, NOW we're getting somewhere. sorta.
I wish I used Twitter more for art and memes, but it's too easy to browse it for dramas and fights.
I liked Twitter before Elon Musk took over, these days I can't go 5 posts without some really blatant nazi shit popping up. Old Twitter even with its toxicity was pretty good about handling the racism

I loved it before 2020, but I would have loved the site before 2019 if I were older or browsed the site more.
In fact, I am so happy I didn't browse Twitter as much as I do now back then because I had high school to go to.

It's honestly so hard to believe that it's been around since two thousand goddamn SIX.
I've been curious as to what it was like back then for a while now, so decided to look up the oldest twitter memes on KYM.

I wish I experienced Twitter like this, but I was a toddler back then
