Ok, since Uglidoll hasn't shown his face in here since, I'm just going to call it at 18. You all will be getting your rolls soon, and the game will start. However, it WON'T start until I give the exposition blurb.

Yes, there's an exposition blurb. I'm a writer; it's what we do.

Right…so I'm guessing those who got PMs are those with roles OTHER than Villagers?

I still think everyone should get a PM, so villagers won't give themselves away.

Hng…we might have to start over--see, this is why it needs to be EXTREMELY CLEAR whether or not people with non-villager roles are going to be the only ones getting PMed or not. Because then people start asking why they didn't get theirs and suddenly it's like "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M A VILLAGER".

Or…

IS IT A CLEVER RUSE?

No. It just needs to be a bit clear…remember, we're dealing with us-types. You need to be very specific.

Well, so far for a well organised game.

Brawler, can you send everyone a PM? And add to it that any old one is no longer valid.

New Dodge: Day 1 – Night

Titan. A moon of Jupiter, and your new home. You are one of the new settlers that is now living on this distant rock, living off of imported air and synthetic sunlight. It seems nice, but, of course, everything by the government seems nice, and often isn't. Still, the money was good, and it was a new start.

Of course, there are rumors.

Some have said that the mafia has snuck in to the transportation shuttles, and plans on taking over the town through genocide. It's a terribly frightening idea, but not one to be taken seriously. After all, what government would let a criminal organization overthrow everything they've worked for?

Still, there are rumors.

Whispers can also be heard of a mysterious government official. It's supposed that this is the police force on the forsaken rock you call your home. No one knows who he or she is, for good reason, but he or she is supposed to be good.

And yet, there are rumors.

Any licensed medical personel on this moon would be keeping to themselves. Even if the threat of the mafia isn't real, no one with that high of a price on their head would dare risk it. You kill the medic, you kill the town. Easy as pie.

Oh, there are rumors.

Finally, there's the citizen resistance. Two vigilantes, working by their own sweat to keep the people safe, since they don't trust the officials. Known as "Batman" and "Robin", a call back to an old story book character that you know very little about, long before any of the colonies. Still, they're better than nothing.

You lay your head down on the pillow, and think about your role in all of this. Only you know what it is, and you don't dare tell anyone, for fear of the rumors being true, and for fear of death. All you can do is move forward, and hope that they aren't, and that you'll live long enough to see your goals met.

Rumors.

12 Hours until Sunlight

Have at it.

Also, the day and night cycles will last 42 hours each.

So the rounds last 12 hours now?

DERP

Let's just say I put that in to build up tension. Cycles will be 42 hours in real time.

Nah, I think he's got it.

The rules say 42 hours, but I think people assumed that it was 48 hours, because that's an even two days.

42 hours from his introductory post is fine, and that can equate to 12 hours in the situation's day/night.

There's still an hour or two left before the round ends.

Also, Brawler may be busy and won't get back to the computer until a few hours after that. We're good guys.

Sorry guys. Haven't had access to a computer for awhile.

New Dodge: Day 2 – Day

You wake up on the first day of your new life in New Dodge to find some interesting news in the paper. Apparently, the mafia have decided to make their presence known in the town by some rather interesting means.

You run over to the town square, where the incident occurred. There's already a large crowd of people, staring at the side wall of the town hall. It's a grotesque sight; written (well, more like splattered) across the wall is the phrase "The mafia has arrived."

This in of itself would be rather frightening on it's own, but to make matters worse, there's a body on the ground below the writing. The body is in a crumpled heap, apparently drained of blood to provide the "ink" for the message, and a large gash through it's neck. Next to the body are two cards: one is the body's identification, and the other seems to be another message from the mafia, this one in normal ink.

Identification: IamBob

Mafia message 2: "It's simple. We killed the Batman."

I actually had a feeling that they would take out bob first.
ROBIN SAVE US!

Worst Batman ever.

Alright, Iambob.

Spill.

Not on the wall again… What you know. I'm not sure if you have evidence this early into the game, but maybe you do.

Well, that was an obvious move. Here's the only clue I received:

"You’ve received a tip-off that at least one of the mafia members was on the last transport into New Dodge.

(At least one of the players who joined later is mafia)"

And tell me Douglas, what gave you the feeling that the mafia would take me out first?

Edit: A good question would be "How late in the game?".
The last 5 members to join were:

15. Seal Clubba
16. Luis
17. RandomMan
18. Dark Ermac
19. Jeff Dahmer

Is this early enough? Should we go earlier than this? That's something I can only hope will be clarified.

Taking me out may have been obvious, but it was also a smart move. We shouldn't rule out RandomMan because of this. Jeffrey and I don't really have the greatest history in this game. As for the other three, we'll see how this progresses.

Edit2: Had to update my list. My notes still work for this list though.

Thanks, Iambob. That's not very meaningful now, but it could be when we need to narrow our focus later on.

I'm holding off on my vote until later. Your suggestion is noted, 404.

I have my thoughts, but I don't want the mafia to see them until they can't change their tactics based upon them. So don't PM me asking. I don't know your allegiances yet.

I'm kind of predispositioned not to trust anyone named 'Jeff Dahmer'. And considering how useful Iambob was last game for the villager's side, I can see why he'd be taken out first. I'm going to assume that one of the mafia, if not more than just, participated in the mafia last game.

The thing is, none of those five did.

However, Seal Clubba, RandomMan, and Luis would know. They had plenty of help from him.

I'm going to sit on my vote for a bit. I'm not going to attack anyone without a little more speculation…

I mean considering you were there last game, I also have no reason to doubt you being mafia again.
or anyone else, for that matter.
