I have no idea how to edit the page and I can't find anything in the html website that helps.

Important: It only works if you are using Firefox or Google Chrome as your browser.
Just right click on what you want to edit, go to the bottom of the menu, and select "Inspect Element."

A menu should pop up from the bottom showing the HTML for the selected object.

Then refer to the HTML guide for how to edit it.

The problem is that I can't type the text in anyway, And nothing I found in the HTML guide helps.

Oh. Right click on the element you want to change and select "edit as HTML."

The same goes for me, the element inspector for me is just an inspector, I can delete nodes however can't edit the html.

I just found out it only works in Google Chrome.

How do to it in Firefox

1: Install the Firebug Plugin

2: Click the Firebug icon to open the Firebug inspector

3: Click the blue rectangle button in Firebug and select an element

4: Double click on any text inside HTML tags

How to do it in Internet Explorer

1: Press F12

2: Click the Arrow pointer button in the inspector and select an element

3: Double click any text

How do it in Safari

1: Go to preferences

2: Go to Advanced

3: Click "Show develop menu in Menu bar"

4: Find the button you just enabled, you may need to go to Toolbar preferences and put the Web developer button on the toolbar.

5: Open the Safari inspector

6: Click the Magnifying glass button at the bottom of the inspector and select an element

7: Double click any text

Chrome just does it easier than all the others

Well….thank you that BSoD, I may download that later. (On a related note, do you have greasemonkey for firefox?)

I almost couldn't find anything to edit on my profile.

I've never used Greasemonkey but now that you mention it, it sounds like an interesting toy to play with, with an ability to run your own client-side JS. Although it also sounds like a perfect way to break websites. Might be a useful debugging and crash-testing tool

Anyway that was a very subtle change to your profile, it took me a whole to spot it. I think you could stand to have a little more added to spice things up:

Thank me later

Say, since BSOD just turned Quantum into the world's biggest brony, would anyone mind turning my profile page into a shrine to all things mechanized warfare?

*Cocks Shotgun*

You know what I'll have to do now, BSoD…

But seriously, that didn't annoy me at the least BSoD, that was just funny to see.

@Nair (Yes, I still call you that)

Whose to say he isn't going to do what he did to my profile to yours?

I already made that joke. I'd rather come up with a different gag.

But yea I could turn Nairs profile into a shrine to mechs. Are we talking Mechwarrior or World of Tanks?

No walkers, if you'd be so kind. But I don't want it to strictly be tanks.

I want to see aircraft. Fighters, bombers, ground attack planes, you get the idea. If you decide to go with a more modern theme, add in some helicopter gunships while you're at it.

If you don't mind.

Unlike Quantums profile; your's does not give me much to work with. But I tried.

Dude, I don't think you get it.

You're supposed to edit the HTML on pages, not just post pictured of people's profiles.

Oh hell yes.

Now that's what I'm talking about.

EDIT: But that said, yeah. I don't really have much on my page.

Guys, please stop full-quoting each other. I'd rather this thread wasn't ruined with quote tunnels.

Remember what happened in the last thread where RF did that?

…I think so.

Nope.

But I get the jist.
