@Cale

Well…this certainly puts a dent in all our plans. I thought you were going to grab china this turn?

I took my half of china anyway, the rest up to you I suppose.

Also you took our jurbs!

@Vlad

Dude, you were supposed to take Korea, not Beijing, that bit was mine. Get with the program

I assumed that you both were going to do it this turn, since my military had to rest this passed one.

As for your economy, that certainly is a shame, but between Africa and Commu-China, what can I do?

Are we not going to discuss Star-Land.

Things change. I'm a capitalist, and uranium is in demand.

The quoted post has been deleted.

Sorry BSoD, but random, genocidal killing isn't my cup of tea (I'm not RussianFedora). I do, however, intend to make a killing (figuratively) by selling this on the open market.

Edit: Really? Deleting your post? Isn't that going a little far, BSoD?

Would be a terrible shame if some Socialist states decided they don't like your form of Capitalism.
Be a shame if a Gray and a Blue man decided to help them.

Unofficial But Entirely Valid Warning Message From The Medicean Government
Howdy folks, it seems like quite a few of you are interested in nuclear warfare! While that in itself isn't much a problem, the use of such things could cause some mighty serious damage to the planet. While we may have taken a pacifist position just recently, we wouldn't be against showin' our nasty face to anybody who decides they want to go using the world as their personal shitter.

In short, I'm saying don't make nuclear weapons or I will personally devastate your every orifice.

have a nice day -your bff Medicea

@RPP

That's right, I say we turn towards the people who are currently hogging more Uranium than they need to sustain their nation with nuclear power and demand they relinquish it

What other reason could they have for so much uranium? Hmm? They cannot be trusted with so much.

It's not like they would use it for Nuclear Deterrence or anything because they're a smallish nation, right?

So I did some research.

Angmar: Has no nuclear capabilities or research.
Medecia: One of the most advanced countries in atomic research.
Morrowind: Has no nuclear capabilities or research.
Syserror: No nuclear research, large uranium fields.
Frasier: Limited nuclear research.
Victoria: Nuclear capable country. May soon be fielding short-range nuclear missiles.

Turn 14
NEXT TURN: WEDNESDAY
Political Map
-Colonial governors of New Navarra, Javertus, and Pretoria gather to formally divide the great desert between their states. The region is definitely not settled, and likely never will be, but the land is now claimed and governed as seen on the map.
-I have decided that, ultimately, units on the map are too much of a hassle to manage, and so few people reacted to it that it wasn't worth the extra work.

-A missile launch facility is constructed on Detroit Island.
-Large scale uranium mining has begun.
-A series of manned missile launches are begun, with most landing and being recovered in the Summerset Sea. Valuable information is gathered on the effects of gravity and the composition of the upper atmosphere.

-Uranium mining and refining begins in Ukraine.
-Experiments with fissile elements leads to the discovery of the atomic model, and the creation of a nuclear reactor.
-To make up for the loss of the oil market, steel production is subsidized. Unemployment rates drop.
-Agricultural reforms are also made, and the USSR quickly becomes the leading food exporter.
-Military supplies are sent to the PRC. The Kuomintang is infuriated, and has done all they can to put a stop to it, including sinking several shipping freighters traveling through the East China Sea.
-Diplomatic gestures are made to repair relations with Persia, but they mostly fall flat.

-A massive attack against Crimsonia is carried out. Their African holdings fall quickly and surrender, and their colonial governors are replaced.
-Polish military installations in Europe are bombed, and SRBMs are put to use in shelling distant targets, especially the industrial sectors of major cities.

-A plan to transform the Bosphorus into a hydro-power plant receives significant backlash from both merchants and engineers. The former rely upon Black Sea trade through the channel and claim that the Constantinople's economy would collapse if the channel were blocked, and the latter can find no evidence that the channel flows from one sea to another as a river does with enough force to turn a generator.
-Crimsonia is invaded. The land forces make much progress, having delayed their attack until the Polish army was exhausted on the opposite front.

-Medicea has the greenest of all green energies. Coal has been by and large phased out entirely, although some plants still use it due to proximity to mines and traditional infrastructure.
-A mandatory vaccination is distributed for various non-existant or non-threatening diseases. Conspiracy theories arise surrounding this, and many people are refusing to take it.
-The nation's largest telephone company is instructed to establish a branch in every nation on earth, sharing their engineering and technological secrets with all who will hear it.

-Uranium mining in Vinland and oil drilling in Aldmeris and Skyrim begin large scale.
-Petroleum production has become enough to support domestic requirements, making a cheaper alternative to importing it from abroad.
-Morocco is added as a foreign dependency via coup, and Uranium mines open to the southeast.
-Passenger airlines become very popular for long distance travel. Dunmer Airlines have opened a few air strips in other countries as well.
-A free trade agreement is made with Victoria.
-The friendly atmosphere between Morrowind and the world's most notorious communist state has drawn the concern of many Dunmer aristocrats and wealthy businessmen. Lobbyists propose legislation that would abolish the nation's tiny communist party. Victoria has threatened to sever friendly relations should such a thing happen.

You did. Text error resulted in the tech not being in your list, so I didn't notice. I'll amend that for next turn, dropping the "crude" part from the tech list.

Hey everyone, check out who's been doing nuclear bomb tests.

Capitalist profit? Amiright? Hmmm? Don't suppose we should be questioning a few motives here?

Angmar supports this statement. Victoria and friends have leapt into the Nuclear Age with unprecedented speed and power, and these powers are ones that threaten not only themselves, but the entire world. They seek destructive power at the most gross level;

I find your lack of Christian values disturbing.

Y'all leave Vlad alone.

I've wanted, lately, to start an adventure/RPG type of thread, but the sheer number of them is a little disconcerting to me. It seems like a noobish thing to do, with a new one appearing nearly every day, so I have been very hesitant to actually make a thread. I was thinking of narrating the story, perhaps accompanied by some extremely mediocre animations/illustrations, and uploading it to YouTube.

The reason I post this here is because the story, as I have imagined it thus far, will have it's setting in the Nations RP world. I made this map for everyone's favorite island, which will be the focal location of the adventure.

Would such a thread interest you guys and girl(s)?

I'm interested in all coherent adventures in the forums. Would this be restricted to players from NatRP, or would it be open to all?

Sounds like a good bit of fun, at what point in the timeline would the story take place?
(Turn in writing process btw)

It sounds interesting, but it would be difficult to pull off. To create a smaller focus (since NatRP spans decades) the colonies could be controlled by their respective player, who would decide what to do. It would also be a welcomed break from the standard medieval fantasy drivel. I'd gladly play an adventure game set on an island covered in competing empires vying for a massive uranium deposit set in what would be similar to the Late Imperialism period and the Atomic Era/World War II.

In a hypothetical timeline in the distant future, possibly hundreds of years after some kind of apocalypse or other global crisis. I didn't want present natRP events mucking about with the story as it goes, and I didn't want to have to retcon things as I went along because somebody decided to do something nasty to the region.

(huh?)

It won't be another nations RP. The story would be character driven, and your proposed actions would be directed towards individual people, not entire nations. I'm not entirely sure what tech level the story would take place in, but it would definitely something regressed from the current game's level.

I'm not really interested in playing the adventure RPG myself, but it sounds pretty cool.
BTW Syndic, just to clarify, did I get the radar I tried to research or not?
