Minor annoyances that are more horrible than they should be

Not all petty annoyances are created equal. Sometimes the littlest irksome thing seems to make everything suck much more than it should until it goes away. This is where you talk about them.

For example, right now, I have a small scratch on the corner of my mouth, which I assume I got shaving. It's not dangerous, hell, I can't even see it in the mirror. But every time I move my mouth to eat or talk or yawn, it stings. Now I'm hesitant to eat anything or read aloud or whatever because of the ensuing pain.

Other examples:

  • Power cords that are just too short for where you want to put them.
  • Surfaces that aren't quite wide enough to place something on.
  • That one board in the floor that squeaks if you get anywhere near it and takes your attention away from whatever you were doing.
  • A feature in a program that's annoying, but can't be turned off, like an unneeded confirmation prompt.
  • Sore Throats
  • Burning your tongue
  • Slow internet
  • Getting constantly redirected by ads or getting redirected to the AppStore.

Autoplay ads, pop-ups, redirects, 4mbps internet for $60 per month (fuck you Centurylink), my laptop taking almost a minute to get to the desktop upon startup.

  • Getting a sore throat from exercise
  • "Pins and needles" after laying down and then trying to walk
  • The feel of chalk on my hands
  • Sleeping for hours, and still feeling tired afterwarda
  • canker sore
  • slow internet
  • cat scratches
  • animals waking me up
  • unknown pain. Like, my index finger hurts like I just slammed it in the door, but I was just asleep.
  • bad naps
  • sleeping too hard
  • waking up with a headache
  • biting my tongue
  • biting my cheek

And, um, yeah. That's some I can think of.
