This is just out of peoples own opinions and Cory from Cory in the House is not allowed in this thread. He's an american born anime character.

It's pretty damn vague to just ask who the "best" character is. That's like asking what the best book is.

However if we're going straight up Mary Sue characters then the most obvious choice is Goku, but I don't think that's what you meant.

If you mean favorite characters then a few of mine are Suzuno Kamazuki from The Devil Is a Part Timer, Kamina from Gurren Lagan, and Shiki Ryogi from Garden of Sinners.

I've literally seen one anime in my entire life (excluding Sonic and Kirby because I always felt those didn't count even though they actually do for some reason, I don't know just me).

So mine would probably be:

I've got a long list.
Every JoJo (especially Joseph, young or old),their companions (especially those in Stardust Crusaders,Zeppeli bloodline and Speedwagon) and good old Dio (Kira too).

Pretty much the main crew of KLK (three guesses who is my favourite here).

And Kenshiro.

If I had to say who the best over-all character it would be Stocking Roger Smith from Big O. He's just a nice blend of both class and bad-ass, and also happens to have one of the most interesting mechs in anime. Also being an expy of Batman and James Bond helps too.

Yoh Asakura from Shaman King. He's a laid back guy who's on no ones side.
