Favorite pizza place

Time for a thread about a food about 99.9% of the world enjoys: pizza.

I'm sure most everyone who likes pizza has a favorite pizza place, so just say what yours is (optional: explain why).

When it comes to a big name chain, definitely Pizza Hut. I've just always loved their crust, cheese, etc, a nice pan pizza pepperoni makes for a nice Friday night at home, and I usually like to get the garlic butter crust topper (Pizza Hut certainly isn't the first pizza chain to do crust toppers, but they do it well).

When it comes to one that's not a chain, there was this local pizza place in Bluffton, South Carolina I liked to go to back when my grandfather still lived there. The pizza was huge and tasted awesome, and the place tried to also have a fun atmosphere with quiz nights (whether or not you like this sort of thing will vary). Since my grandfather doesn't live in Bluffton anymore, I haven't been there in years, but maybe one day if I ever go on vacation to Hilton Head Island (which is right next to Bluffton) I'll go there for dinner one night.

The best pizza I ever had is at a place in downtown Holland called Fricano's (actually Fricano's Too because the original one was in Grand Haven). Their pizza is so good, yet expensive, and soft drinks don't have free refills, so that contributes to the high price as well. Here's a picture:

The crust is thin yet soft, all the topping taste great, and they have a special blend of herb seasoning on top they call "bird seed". Also what I like about the place is that it has a real "pizza tavern" feel. Unlike the Grand Haven one which was in a regular house. For example, this is what it looks like inside:

Pizza patron

Even though its mostly local to my area (cental tx) i love the fuck outta their pizza, Mexican cuisine mixed with italian food ummph~

If We're talking about commercial chain pizza places, then My top picks are Marco's, followed by Little Cesar's.

Marco's is a good mix of Quality, quantity, and price. They also understand that with a good pizza, You can't skimp on the cheese, the sauce, or the seasonings in the sauce. And MY GOD the size of the sausage pieces… They're huge.

Little Cesar's is like the McDonald's of the pizza world; They're good for a fast, cheap, tasty pizza when You've only got pocket change to spend, just looking to pick up something simple for some movie/gaming snacks, or looking to get a lot of food cheap for a party.

For local Mom n' Pop joints, there's a place around here called Sal's pizza. Good prices, and They do one hell of a legit Chicago style pie. They're another place that understands that the sauce needs to be well seasoned. Hell, You can smell the garlic as soon as the pizza's in the house. They also have this thing called a pizza turnover… If You like cheese, this monstrosity is the thing for you.

There's two places i like going to. Pizza Hut, and Pizza Capers (although pizza capers is like hell overpriced, $15 average, they're still good)
