Recently internet memes and viral videos like Bed Intruder and Double Rainbow have become hot topics at my school. But a month ago i was singing these songs and making jokes like "IMA FIRIN MA LAZER!!!" and "O RLY?" but nobody noticed or cared. Now all of a sudden people are singing these songs and referencing all the crap i was talking about for a long time. And when I told my friends i knew about this stuff long before anybody else (trust me nobody in my school lurks) they don't believe me! I might just need to read the rules of the internet over the loudspeaker soon (rule 34 should be fun to explain).

College humor is why; they take old, and or beloved memes and make videos about them. This causes the mass audience to overuse them thinking it makes them cool, until the meme is as dry and old as a retirement home.
