Anything Sci-fi and has a bit of darkness to it, Ghost in the shell was pretty good and the second movie was pretty kick ass, I did not like the series since they turned Motoko into a hooker.

I agree.

And the person who downvoted him…why? He was only expressing his opinion.

I didn't downvote him, but I considered it, because once again, it's like the person who calls in to a television show to say "I have no opinion on this matter."

It's like someone started a thread saying "Post funny pictures" and he said, "I don't like posting pictures." Or if he went on the "Post yer pets :D" thread and said, "I don't have any pets."

What's the #%*@ing point then?

EDIT: Here's a thought: if he had just said "I don't like anime, but my favorite manga is…" that would have been something not completely stupid.

The butt on the cone and emoticon was a bit much.

On topic, I like cyberpunk animes. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Serial Experiments Lain are my two favorites.

The bottom one is Negima. I really like the Manga but havent gotten around to watching the Anime.
(P.S. ITS INSANE!)

I only watch the most obscure ones. Like the one about the ninja kid that wants to be the best ninja in his village so he can find his emo friend. Or the one about the dude that wears black, has a orange hair, a sword, and no character development whatsoever.

You've probably never heard of them though.

Also, Code Lyoko (does it count?) was pretty cool.

Code Lyoko yessssssssss

(Also, I feel the need to mention if Layton was turned into an anime, I would watch the shit out of it. I already have with the movie hnnnnnnng)

Code Lyoko was pretty cool. Is it considered an anime, though? Does anyone have input on that?

It's not "negima" it's "negima!?".

Code lyoko is french. There fore it counts
(ha, because in french you call animation anime. Not because it looks japanese, but it's the french word for animation)

Fate Stay Night was one of the best Animes I ever watched (Even if people die if they are killed). The Melancholy of Haruhi was great too, even though the second season bombed. WAIT A SECOND!!! Looks at date OMG! The DVD release of the movie is tomorrow! I can't wait for the FanSub! X3

If Code Lyoko counts, then that would be my favorite of all time. I. LOVE. CODE LYOKO.
:D

Ah, fair point.

I read the naruto manga myself. I can't stand the anime, it's afwul, and I hate how "americanised" so many things in the anime are.

@Ashbot

YES oh yes Overman King Gainer has all those things and This Guy v v v v v v v v v

Half Assed Plot – After an enviromental disaster all of mankind lives in giant dome cities ON LEGS! All of Asia is pretty much run by the Siberian Railway which is the only way to get supplies. A dome city of mostly long exiled Japanese decides to WALK THEIR GIANT CITIES across Siberia to get back to Japan because a popular song's lyrics promise that it is actually very nice in Japan.

Comic Relief – The video gamer with the highest number of points is declared King Gainer and trained to pilot the giant Robot who guards the walking cities from attacks by the miles long Siberian train. The battles take place in a limitless snowscape. It's a giant mecha snowball fight.

First of all let me just say.

:3

On the actually topic.
Not much of a fan of the more serouis-face animes.
I quite enjoy K-on!, Lucky star and (Although you could probably argue this agaisnt my first point) FCLC.
And apprently liking Lucky star makes me gay, but hey whatever, I was never a manly man anyway and I have no idea what this has to do with my sexual preference when gender is concerned.

Speaking of which, I am also quite the fan of "hentai".
