KYMnatRP Turn 6

Global Events
-Hephaestus kicks off the iron age with their advanced skill in metalurgy. This age is not significantly different from the bronze age
-Dark Ermac is kicked from the game! Prior arrangements have replaced him with Vardamir.
-DrPepperfan has quit the game! Prior arrangements have replaced him with RocketPropelledPanda.
-Because even I am getting confused with this, from now on military ranks will be posted in their order at the bottom of each turn. I have altered them a bit, so even if you memorized them it would be good to take a look.
-You all seem to think that this is the modern age when it is not. You cannot free all the slaves or have truely democratically elected leaders. There will be kings and emperors, and there will be slaves and paupers. You cannot instate a pinko-leftist socialist utopian democracy in the iron age or use modern terms like "president" and "industry". The Romans did not free slaves, they made slaves, and that's what kept the economy going. They didn't give the people rights to keep them complacent, they gave them bread and circuses and gladiator fights. If you keep up this modernistic mumbo jumbo I will have to keep giving you negative results.

-The Emperor delegates the position of consul to an elected official, and for reasons unknown to his people, he places himself in a lower status of power than the new office. This shakes the resolve of the Hephaestan people, who now think that their nation is led by a weak man who needs an elected babysitter to do his job for him.
-Hephaestan generals, having lost confidence and trust in the capital, are by and large abandoning the empire and claiming their regions under their own rule.
-Hephaestus enters the iron age.

-The people of Yudea, following the Word of God, have taken it upon themselves to abandon hostile stances towards their neighbors and outsiders.

.

Wait… why am I kicked?

EDIT: oh God. I forgot KYMnatRP. In the future, you might want to warn people when they are about to get kicked off, because not everyone picks up on slight errors they might make that can get them kicked.

If we had forum signatures here, mine would say "No Warning, No Mercy. Also: Osaka."
.
I believe I have stated before that there would be no warnings. If I didn't, this is that warning. If you stick around for another week you wil be able to join the next game.

This game is going to be over in another week? We're still in the metal ages for Zçùla sake, I don't see this world ending for a while… Unless you have plans to surprise us with a giant meteor and make the human race go extinct… But whatever you want to do. Also, a side question, when do you plan on adding the whole 3 things our nation needs aspect, or did you trash that?

Well lets see. We are about to get to turn 7, in which almost everyone will be in the iron age. After that is the Middle ages (steel), discovery (gunpowder+high seas ships), industrial (railway+factories), atomic (nuclear research) and then everyone dies. That shouldn't take more than a week and a half, at maximum.

Yeah during the first century it was discovered, well the earliest form of it I believe. Saltpepper or something I think it was called.

Just as likely to kill the user and the man standing next to him as the enemy though :P

He does have a good point, this is his world.

I'm pretty sure if this was the real world, then there would be the Roman Empire, the Mongols and everything else that came kicking everyone's asses.

I hope I get a pet dragon… Roll eyes I jest.

Hmm, I suppose, I guess I was thinking about how the last game was only in the modern era, and that lasted a good couple of weeks, with RussianFedora and his nukes. Also, when you said we'd be discovering a new tech each turn, I didn't think that we'd be entering a new era every turn. But like I said, whatever you want is fine.
.
Also, other players, I keep finding myself looking at this for advice on what would be reasonable to research next. http://www.civfanatics.com/gallery/files/1/techtree_original.jpg

I wouldn't do that if I were you, the Holocaust is just bound to be recreated if you tempt people like that, what if HoH or Sweetie Killer all the sudden joined the game, you would die. That is why I am just free reigning with creation and not basing it off of anything, for now.

Mine is a mix of a lot of things. My strategic gameplay will resemble that of the Spanish Empire (Major colonization and spread of religion). My 'cultural' gameplay resembles that of ancient Egypt (Monarchy, slavery, gender equality, theocracy) for now. And I'm naming things with a language based off Italian/ Portuguese. I won't say this game is my life (mostly because I'm afraid of getting kicked, JK), but when I roleplay, I tend to really develop my character deep, or as in this case- nation. xD

I was eventually going to go Chinese-style with the Deisans, at least in terms of revolutionizing technology. Shortly before the sudden uprising that lead to the previous leader being discarded, the people were busy mining for minerals, including sulfur and nitrates.

We'll see about that…..

Global Events & Notes
-You should only title your PMs KYMnatRP if you are in the present game, as I don't even read messages that are titled KYMnatRP until I am making the turn, and I will ignore them if they are not from players in the present game. If you have a question, comment, or concern, send it in a seperate PM not titled KYMnatRP. Thanks.
-Anyone in the iron age may now invent two things at once, rather than one (which is the rule for those not in the iron age, in case you didnt know).

.

McCartnie – RocketPropelledPanda – Cute Pink
Status: Kingdom
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Iron Tools, Iron Weapons, Mining, Irrigation
Culture: Aeroise religion , Medical
Army: Miniscule Militia
Navy: Miniscule Militia
Econ: Small Agrarian

-Irrigation is developed to help cultivate crops and bring in larger harvests.
-The fishing rod, already being a popular primitive method of entertainment and food harvesting, has been proclaimed as an invention by one of the kingdom's more dim witted lords.
-Herbologists and alchemists, experimenting with plants and minerals, have concocted special brews and potions capable of killing pain and aleviating stress.
-Zçùlan missionaries arrive in the McCartnien homelands and have started to spread their faith.

.

Hyrule – Kalmo – Cyan
Status: Kingdom
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Iron Weapons, Iron Tools, Irrigation, Galley, Chariots/Carts, Mining
Culture: Utilitarian, Deisan language , Deisanism religion
Army: Miniscule Militia
Navy: Miniscule Militia
Econ: Miniscule Agrarian

-Gannon attempts to invade Hyrule, and the gods sink the nation into the ocean to prevent this powerful despot from taking control of Egypt's most powerful kingdom.

.

Hephaestus – Vlad – Forest Green
Status: Empire
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Mathematics, Irrigation, Iron Tools, Iron Weapons, Chariots/Carts, Galley, Literature, Blast Furnace
Culture: Philosophy, Imperial
Army: Average Trained
Navy: Average Militia
Econ: Big Agrarian

-Literature develops in Hephaestus, and some of the nation's greatest tales and epics are written into permanent documentation. For this, Hephaesus is granted one free tech(blast furnace).
-A new emperor reconstructions the Great Chain of Production and attempts to place more emphasis on his control over it by crowning the imperial seat as the single general in command of the armies. This has resulted in a long spiral of continual conquests by the empire, monarch after monarch, reclaiming lost lands and more.
-Being that anywhere from 25 to 40 percent of Hephaestus's capital city is already enslaved, the official promotion of slavery has had little impact on the economy.

.

Borg – Mr. Biscuits – Hot Pink
Status: Civilized Empire
Epoch: Bronze Age
Techs: Cavalry, Galley, Bronze Tools, Bronze Weapons, Chariots/Carts, Architecture
Culture: Matriarch, Seafaring, Comedians, Aesthetic
Army: Big Trained
Navy: Average Militia
Econ: Big Agrarian

-Advanced architecture techniques are discovered, and put to use at road building. The Borg are so proficient at connecting their civilization that, like an explosion, easily linked conquests spread rapidly throughout the surrounding lands building a mighty empire for the Borg.
-A written code of laws is made by the Empress, and a complicated serries of judges are set up to rule over their new conquests. Judges rapidly overturn the power of male generals and governors, making the ruling elite almost exclusively those of the judicial branch.
-Small colonies in Italia and Libya are established by the more adventurous and independent Borg.

.

Calaxnar – l33tsquad – Maroon
Status: Kingdom
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Iron Tools, Iron Weapons, Chariots/Carts, Mining
Culture: Voxianism religion , Zealots, Engineers
Army: Average Militia
Navy: Small Militia
Econ: Average Agrarian

-Mining brings forth a new metal: iron. As well as gold, platinum, and rarely, diamonds
-Once more, a primitive civilization attempts to encourage something as commonplace as walking. Slaves abound! Fresh conquests are made to bring in more labour.

.

Deisa – Vardamir – Neon Green
Status: Theocracy
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Iron Tools, Iron Weapons, Irrigation, Galley, Chariots/Carts, Mining
Culture: Deisanism religion , Art
Army: Small Trained
Navy: Average Trained
Econ: Small Agrarian

-The Deisan military is trained through mock battles immitating supposed strategies and tactics learned out of tales from foreign soldiers.
-The church and state combine, forming a theocratic government form. Naturally, being that the state and religion are already largely considered as one, the votive denizens have found renewed faith in the kingdom's royalty, believing the king to be on level with god.

.

Giozzi – Nick Estbosco – Orange
Status: Theocracy
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Chariots/Carts, Papyrus, Iron Armour, Galley, Archery, Iron Tools, Calendar, Iron Weapons, Mining
Culture: Equality, Zçùla religion , Theocratic Despotism, Time Keepers, Zealots, Order, Sea faring
Army: Average Militia
Navy: Big Trained
Econ: Small Agrarian

-Colonization has evolved into conquest, and much of Iberia is overtaken.
-The Giozzario learn of iron, and enter said age.
-Zçùla's will is impressed upon the navy, with high priests demanding that the seas be explored with much fervor. Colonial efforts ensue as valuable heathen slaves are discovered across the seas.
-Gold is coined into currency.

.

Yudea – Vulcan – Pale Green
Status: Barbarian Village
Epoch: Bronze Age
Techs: Bronze Tools, Bronze Weapons
Culture: Theocratic Despotism, Yudean religion
Army: Miniscule Militia
Navy: Miniscule Militia
Econ: Small Agrarian

-Yudea enters the bronze age.
-"Kosher" laws have been inscribed into the holy books as law to keep the people from eating or mixing foods in dangerous and sometimes deadly ways.
-The prophets have annointed a special holy man as king, establishing a continuing theocracy over the land.

.

Gueyllano – Brandon Perez – Purple
Status: Settled Tribe
Epoch: Stone Age
Techs: Language, Husbandry, Chariots/Carts, Calendar, Stone Tools
Culture: Guayanism religion , Astronomy

-Stone is discovered, as a needed prelude to the bronze age, and used as tools.

.

Tita – Josh – Red
Status: Kingdom
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Iron Tools, Iron Weapons, Iron Armour, Cavalry, Galley, Chariots/Carts
Culture: Democratic, Honey Badger Cult, Philosophy, Militaristic
Army: Average Militia
Navy: Miniscule Militia
Econ: Small Agrarian

-Stone paved roads are constructed locally and only in radically important areas to support new carts and chariots.
-Iron's many uses are discovered.
-A sport known as "leather ball kicking" has been developed in the army, and local youths begin to pick up on the sport, encouraging militaristic tendencies.

.

Equestria – Derpy Hooves – Yellow
Status: Dual Kingdom
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Cavalry, Iron Tools, Iron Weapons Chariots/Carts, Archery
Culture: Matriarch, Celestia religion , Utilitarian
Army: Miniscule Militia
Navy: Miniscule Militia
Econ: Small Agrarian

-Equestria splits into two empires, but rather than being based upon territory, they are based upon time. One emperor rules during the summer months, and another during winter. One sits upon the Throne of the Sun, and the other on the Throne of the Moon, respectfully.
-The new dual monarchy enables the kings and queens of the realm to interact with their people when not ruling the state, and the time constraints to their power limits ambitious goals and the effects of bad planning or selfish laws.
-Equestria enters the iron age.
-Archery is developed, with such weapons as the crossbow and even the catapult. Another strange oriental weapon developed during the time period includes the Aara coilded sword, which is much more like a bladed whip.

.

Xanthos – EP73 – Blue
Status: Kingdom
Epoch: Iron Age
Techs: Iron Tools, Iron Weapons, Iron Armour Cavalry, Galley, Chartios/Carts, Calendars
Culture: Petrichism religion
Army: Miniscule Trained
Navy: Miniscule Militia
Econ: Small Agrarian

-Alongside Tita, Xanthos enters the iron age.
-The sundial is invented for keeping time, and long time keeping is recorded within a calendar.
-Iron plated and chain linked armour is invented.
-Gardening becomes wildly popular with the women.

So nobody is even going to mention that Egypt is completely wiped off the map and how unfair/stupid that is?
.
Okay. Guess I can get away with it. Prepare for a horrible map update tomorrow.

edit:
So you know what you will be working with:

Deal with it.

Oh hey, Egypt got wiped off the face of the planet? Pity. And I actually like the new map, it changes things up. I also think this game is much more fair than the last one in terms of setup and rules, and a lot more fun as well. I'd just like to thank you Red/ Blue Syndicate for all your hard work.

All of a sudden, horrific earthquakes tear the Atlantic and Pacific coastlines from North America! As an additional side effect, Iceland and a small part of Canada change into New Scotland and New Ireland! Finally, Old Scotland and Ireland somehow become the New Wapanese Islands. No one knows how this happened, given these islands moved across half the world to get there, but some believe that aliens are involved somehow.

Oh, and Australia fragmented, but no one really cares about Australia.

It's things like this that make me wish I didn't screw up and get myself kicked…

You do realize there is an empty slot don't you?

Earth has fainted! You have no more planets, you lose.

adding the spots and the flooding makes sense I guess. Just though Hyrule would turn into somethin like it was in Wind Waker or some sorta Atlantis shrugs who knows I just enjoy reading about the game even if I can't participate :D

so if teal was Hyrule and Hyrule is the now open spot…Can I has teal? If so since Hyrule was destroyed would I hafta come up with a new nation or would I take what could be considered the survivors of the epic flood to make a new nation? So many possibilities!

Whateveryou feel like doing. Since it technically isn't on the map anymore, you can do either. Or somethign else. Asking in PM is the best option.
.
Also, I was not adding two new slots, I was taking players out of two slots.

I was just commenting on the fact that it could be shortened 2 that is all :P
Plus your GMin a game, pple are rarely fullly satisfied though I do enjoy this one quite a bit :D
