There's a story that's been going around about New Line Cinema purchasing the movie rights of an illustration art depicting a teddy bear confronting a monster. (Betabeat / Daily Dot / Geekosystem)

The original artwork was created & submitted by a DeviantART user named begemott (Greek software engineer Alex Panagopoulos) in October 2006. Seen any derivatives, parodies or other signs of a meme? If you know what this is about, please feel free to start an entry or contribute to research in this thread.

Can we get some links to derivatives? I've seen that picture a few places, never any others like it though.

I'm not sure how they could make a movie out of that but I hope it's something awesome and/or heartwarming. Of course in Hollywood that's a long shot but still…
