Alright, this is the kind of post that would typically go under a political discussion, but I think it's a pressing enough event to warrant its own coverage on this website. The current "go-to" label for the incident is "#TrumpRally", but it might be better to label it as "Trump Campaign Chicago Riot" or something to that effect.

After repeated incidents regarding mistreatment of protesters at Donald Trump's rallies, it seems as though the protesters have struck back by means of causing a riot in Chicago. The riot was so bad that Trump ultimately cancelled his appearance. This kind of thing has seldom happened in the history of United States politics and is already raising a bunch of political discussion.

wtf I've been liveblogging it in the election thread why didn't you come link me or smth.

It quickly devolved into a BLM rally instead of an anti-Trump rally.
They were chanting about that kid on PCP who took 16 shots to stop, and that's obviously the racist cop's fault.

Loving how classy some people are acting over this

truly sick, even if Trump is just pandering to right wing voters and is just playing up to his base without actually believing what he says hes still stirring the pot and people like this to come out.

Im sorry but when dose being anti PC cross the line into full blown racism?

CNN on Moveon.org's involvement:

Donald Trump Jr. weighs in and a wild John Legend appears!

@Thelastmethbender

That's a fair question, but I think the more pressing one here is when does protesting cross the line into voter intimidation?

Well I don't know how I feel about people wanting to shut down a political rally. That really isn't a good thing

Protesting is fine, protesting is the most American thing you can do. Shutting down speech isn't

Trump supporters will spin this into a speech issues even tho none of them care when protesters are physically assaulted at his events

but still, two wrongs don't make a right.
