I made a Digital Homicide entry after reading about their recent attempt against Jim Sterling but it seems very little people know about the entry. Friendly reminder that this is my first time making this and I know I need to improve more. Is there something missing?

An entry gets on the trending bar if people leave comments there. Nothing more, nothing less.
But remember this: Not all entries make the trending bar because it is written well. There are a lot of entries who keep appearing on the trending bar because of the controversial nature or because there is a whole community involving the entry.
Thanks. I just worry that my entry would get deadpooled eventually for lack of views or something.

If your entry is properly made and you ask one of the entry moderators, they can give it the researching badge and from what I've observed that means it will then appear under 'Researching Now'.
I feel like I should also add that comments without substance break the rules by being irrelevant, so don't comment just to get an entry trending. If your comments have something useful to say, sure, that's alright if you want the happy side effect of making it trend.
