I think so. A few of the other entry mods were talking about starting an entry for it, but we weren't sure about the exact origin so we held off. If you want to start it, go ahead.
Made the entry, did the best I could.
Would recommend someone with actual editing experience to spruce it up. because I fucking suck with editing

Are you sure you don't mean Bubbles (the blue one)? Because (as a guy who has uploaded several of those edits) I haven't seen many (if at all, any) Buttercup edits. (She's the green one.)

I was kinda under the impression that this started in our own image gallery based off the comments on the exploitable.

Same actually. I made my Excalibur edit because the title on the exploitable requested we give her a face.
I keep hearing that 4chan was having a field day with it but I have yet to see any evidence of such. For now, I've only seen this in our image gallery.
