Should we document memes from smaller chans?

Title say's it all. All though each chan has an extremely small culture they still produce their own forms of memes. A lot of them are run of the mill and require the history of the culture in order to understand it. They are still memes none the less.

I don't see why it's not worth a shot. If you don't want to bother making full-blown entries (or don't know if it needs one), this is what I do. If there's a meme I know of that has no entry, I gather whatever information I can find and make an informal post in this meme research forum. If a mod or another entry writer sees it, they may do more research and make the entry themselves. That's happened with some of mine.

If this was a reply to me, you click "quote" to do that and let me know. If you made forum posts on any of them, even if they don't get made into proper entries, your post may still serve as a kind of reference if someone looks it up and finds it. If you're confident with your writing and have enough info, I say go ahead and submit an entry. The worst it can be is deadpooled (or deleted, but that usually only happens for outright spam).

I also share that interest and yes we need to look up smaller websites as well. As far as the general spread of the meme. And when I say meme I'm thinking mass spread coming from a smaller site that might be caught in 4chan/Reddits web.

Big yes.

If it's really small with no clear history or spread, you can always choose to make an entry for the board and give the smaller ones a spot there. If the info is solid tho, don't feel held back and make that entry.
