I'm a month late to this minor meme that's probably already dead, but I went to the trouble of tracking down its path, so I'm posting this anyway.
In recursive series of screencapped posts à la Revolver Ocelot, this Snapchat photo of a boy hanging from a ledge at school has made the rounds on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and elsewhere.
I don't know its origins, but it seems to have existed as early as May since there are tweets with the exact phrase from then. The earliest I've seen the image posted (as seen above) is this post by Instagram user @gucci.dogger on October 17 (12k likes), captioned with the same phrase.
From there, the recursion began. The same day, Instagram user @radicles_the_meme posted a screencap (1k likes) of the post including gucci.dogger's caption. This post itself reposted the phrase (as all do from this one on).
On October 18, Twitter user @ahleeyouu posted the original image (6k likes, 1k retweets), saying "u deadass would only see shit like this in highschool i miss it".
On October 23, Twitter user @HE_VALENCIA posted a screencap (500 likes, 100 retweets) of radicles_the_meme's post.
The same day, Twitter user @johnonefifteen posted a screencap (700 likes, 100 retweets) of HE_VALENCIA's tweet.
The path splits here. On October 30, Twitter user @pleasefreebobby posted a screencap (25 likes, 8 retweets), presumably of HE_VALENCIA's tweet, but it cuts off radicles_the_meme's caption on the bottom.
At least 2 more iterations occur from pleasefreebobby's, but I couldn't locate them. On November 2, it wound up on this post (11k likes, 2k retweets) by Twitter user @Spamchovies. The same day, this iteration was posted to /r/comedyheaven by Reddit user Cam_1337 (6k upvotes).
Many further iterations exist from here (starting at many different points), but this is the extent of the "main lineage" as it were.
My man Kevin on the ledge and shit.
