For those who don't follow boxing, there was a boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner on January 19, 2019. It was celebrated and advertised as Pacquiao's return fight to the United States as his last two fights were fought outside the country. And Adrien Broner is infamous in the professional boxing world for being a trash-talking, big-mouthed clown that fashions himself as the next Floyd Mayweather.
Spoiler alert, Pacquiao wins by unanimous decision and Broner once again opened up his big mouth in the interview that happened right after the fight ended, making him sound like a sore loser. It seems like the interview himself itself is outshining the actual fight itself.
In response, the internet started to mock Broner for his claims that he won and that he did it "for the hood."
It may not be a big meme like Sasuke Choking Edits, and it may only last until next month, but I though that it was noteworthy to talk about.
