So we gotta talk about this

seems nothing more than a pretty standard depression/suicide awareness video. I wonder if Youtube has given other PSAs the same treatment.
also, the hell even is lofi hip hop? everywhere i turn on Youtube it's in the corner of my eyes demanding my attention

It's basically just pretty, soothing, sometimes depressing and low-energy/mellow-sounding hip-hop beats, though some of them take on more of a Jazz-like feel.

SOME, would say that it is trash, and even though I think they're FUCKING WRONG, I'm not going to argue against it, either. It's not something I'm always in the mood for.

One of my favorite mixes is this one:

hey so i've been thinking, why has this been the only video i'm aware of that has Youtube warning viewers beforehand? i mostly only watch videos of crime scene investigations these days, and there are plenty of pictures and videos of grievous stab wounds, twisted accidents, unrepentant torturers and rapists describing their crimes in detail, even people swearing sometimes.
yet those don't get the warning, sure they usually get demonetized or removed if they're going too far, but that still means an anime babe preparing to gut herself and breaking down before doing so is still seen as more triggering content than actual death and postmortem research.
curious to what angle Youtube is playing here, unless this is something new i missed and just made myself look like a fool again

I know I'd stab myself for listening to lofi and studying for 24 hours seven days a week.

I like lofi, but too much of a good thing is poison.

No this is something new to me too. And according to the YouTube comments (yes i read those), it's the first time people have seen the trigger warning be used as well. Which why I thought it might be, MIGHT BE, meme-able.

But you're right, it's probably not nearly popular enough to get some clout.

As far as what is YouTube up to, I have no idea but I'm sure it's something that is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY MOTIVATED BY SOME AGENDA.

Edit: Maybe it's something the content creator can add in themselves, and most people don't use it for whatever reason.
