Can someone please explain the plot of Homestuck. I read a lot of it, but I was soooo lost. I know this is a stupid comment, but I just don't understand!!!

But out of all seriousness its a web comic about a group of kids that play a game that destroys the world but by beating it you can create a new universe and enter it. Read it if you wanna know more. That's the J'ist of what i can give you because i don't wanna spoil anything.

Well, I've finally decided to come hamsteak in this thread.

Did anybody like Act 6 Intermission 1? I thought it was awesome.

All of the Intermissions are great. I can't wait until John and Jade meet up with the rest of the trolls/Humans.

I've seen a lot of people say that the sprites will cease to exist in the next session.
It's kind of annoying, because there is absolutely no evidence of this occurring. Sprites aren't more bound to their session then the kids are to their whole universe. If they can leave it, they can exist somewhere else. It's not like being in another session will erase their existence.

I agree. I used to get rustled over that, but now I tolerate it more.

The whole reason people are bringing that up is because of Davesprite, because he's "such a tragic character omg". That person also theorized that Nannasprite was probably dead. That proven wrong since John said he's been hanging out with her. Person said the same thing with Jaspersprite. I don't even know what to say to that. So yeah, pretty much the most recent stupid theory.

Just to let you guys know, beta testing is up for people who donated $55+ to the kickstarter. I just finished playing it, and they introduced some new trolls. It was pretty sweet.

It is? At last.

It's spoilers in a big way.

Regarding The New Update

I don't know if this could have any relevance later on, but as I was looking through the Internet, I found an interesting little thing from pages past

Hmmmm…that reminds me of something…

I'm pretty sure the ~ATH book is modeled after Death from Problem Sleuth.

Maybe, maybe not.

There is a lot of crossing over involved in this webcomic. And I don't really care for making strong opinions, this is just something to think about while we wait for the next update.

This nigga done sewed his motherfuckin' mouth shut.

That shit cray.

Well, I guess Death and Kurloz WOULD have similarities. I wouldn't be surprised if inspiration for Kurloz was drawn from Death, it would be fitting.

Wow I actually had a Homestuck talk on the Internet without everyone going "LOL STFU WE DON'T LIKE YOUR IDEAS." Lets keep it that way here.

Well, this is Homestuck General. Most anything is up for discussion, and we're all quite sane.

Trust me. Massive spoiler.

What did everybody think of the most recent Intermission (Act 6 Intermission 3 update)?

EDIT: Not quite a Homestuck-related topic, but it is related to Andrew Hussie. What does everybody think about Jailbreak? Should it have been left unfinished?

I liked it. It introduced new trolls, some backstory behind Gamzee's outfit/recent activity, and it made DaveRezi canon (lol shipping). I've never read jailbreak, so I have no answer to the second question.

I liked it too, for those reasons and that I thought it was quite funny in general.

I've read Jailbreak, and I'm currently still slogging through Problem Sleuth (which is longer than Homestuck, actually), and I have to say I'm neutral on its abrupt cancellation. I personally think that it would have been nice to see how the story finished out, and I certainly wouldn't mind if Hussie someday revisited Jailbreak, but I can tell he's long since moved on in terms of style.

Right now, Homestuck is at least twice as long as Problem Sleuth, if not longer. Just saiyan.

Hussie actually did go back and finish Jailbreak. Bardquest is still unfinished though.
Actually, as there was no way to tell the characters apart, it's good that Jailbreak is dead.

Is this comment fromm 2009? Cause currently Homestuck is more than 3 times as long as Problem Sleuth, and Jailbreak was given a proper ending somewhere around October 2011

GUYS!
There's a theory on tumblr about gamzee being evil! I've read up on it an it appears to be true! Now I don't wanna spoil anything for any one who still needs to get up to act 4 or hasn't finished it yet so if you wanna check it out then click the link below and share your thoughts on it!
Read it now

It seems like an interesting theory, but I'm more willing to go with time travel above an alternate Gamzee. I also just noticed that the sprite used when Gamzee talks to Kurloz doesn't really look like Gamzee. People kept theorizing about Caliborn and Calliope, but they never expected a new race. Essentially, we just have to wait and see what Hussie does with all of this.

So….

Moving the subject along to the most recent update now. We are looking at Ol'knifey again who hasn't been doing a whole lot since the storyline left him.

He's just been endlessly fighting a mailwoman for 3 years, locked in perfect stalemate due to both of them being ultra-godlike beings.

Since he's in the farthest ring, he's decided to hide in a dream bubble to get away from his nemisis. Inside the bubble (which contains memories of the final moments of Skaia in his own session) he suddenly meets up with John and now John is, without question, kicking his ass.

My question is: Is that the real John? John should still be on that battleship at this moment. I think the John we see is really just the figment of a memory. Same with the Rose that temporarily appeared. But whose memory is it?

That's probably the Real John and Rose. I assume that John passed-out and entered the Dream Bubble through sleep, and since Rose was asleep last-time we checked, she simply knew something along the lines of this would happen and did some Seer of Light shit.
