No, that's the actual People's Voice in The Government. And some Brony really did start that petition.

Wonder if Obama is a brony.

…

QUICK, DRAW-FRIENDS! ZEBRA OBAMA!

I wanna make a comic strip 'bout that, tell ya l8r, gotta go do… stuff…

Actually I was the one who made that image.

I cut it out of the original (not mine) so I could use it for the Derpy Hooves article.

Here's The original. With a spoiler button (see last panel).

For those wondering. This was made when Carrot Top was still named Carrot Cake. It was changed to Carrot Top so the character would not get confused with Mr. and Mrs. Cake.

All hail, RandomMan.

I meant about Derpy emptying Carrot's fridge. She would come home and Derpy would say, "I cleaned out your fridge." Then Carrot would be like, "not again." Then she would walk over, open the fridge and see that it was cleaned and not a single food item was missing. Then there would be hugz.

It's one image from a fanwork I didn't even make. Took me maybe 2 minutes. So I don't really mind that it's unknown to the masses.

But it made me feel better, thanks.

That image… d'awwwww.

So, here is my theory of Story of the Blanks, may contain spoilers.

So all the residents of Sunny Town were fillies that were shunned into the woods for getting their cutie marks especially late and they created a real town in the Everfree. They all grew up resentful and with hate for those with cutie marks. The town eventually failed, for unknow reason, and became cursed because of the magic of the Everfree and because not getting a cutie mark is unnatural. Eventually, the explorer pony (whatever her name was) wandered into their trap but trying to figure out what happened gave her her cutie mark. That enraged them so they killed her, but because she died after she got her cutie mark she was only partially cursed so she became a ghost instead of a zombie.

Whether or not that picture >implies anything, it is still the cutest thing in the world.

This = NO.

Did someone say drunk and lustful berry punch?!

I think it's interesting how erotic/humanized art can be discouraged. Sure, I don't want to see the imbedded image here on the thread, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Weird, maybe, but…we're all pretty darn weird on this thread anyway.

(also…given that you don't like this kind of thing…how did you find that anyway…and why would you provide a link?)

Why is it wrong? BECAUSE IT A F**KING KIDS SHOW! It's people that can't keep their sexuality and their fandoms separate that give us all a bad name and lead to that "bronies jack off to cartoon ponies" s**t that we try to avoid.

And I said before that I don't mind humanized versions so long as they're tasteful.

My rule is this: If it's good art, I don't care whether it's sexual or not. Good artwork it still good. If I didn't use that rule, I'd miss out on all of Megasweet's stuff….and that would be a mighty big shame. Yup. (or Eeyup I guess)

And yeah, that art up there wasn''t that good in terms of, ya know, actual drawing skills, but it definitely wasn't worthy of being posted with a EWWW THIS IS THE GROSSEST PIC EVER response. Think that's bad? I could show you shit that would blow your mind bro.

Well, I should have phrased that better.

Whether it's a kids' show or not is irrelevant. Don't send kids online, because of Rule 34, and because of the anonymous nature of the Web, there will be Rule 34.

People that decide that Bronies are bad will do that for reasons other than Rule 34. Even if some people in the fandom make Rule 34, people will still assume we are sexually attracted to ponies, because we are men that like My Little Pony. I ignore the ignorance…they'll think whatever they want about me regardless of what I do. I don't like erotic pony art, but I can't easily say whether it's wrong or not. I've never been comfortable about making that kind of hard-lined statement. I can just say it's weird. And it is. I don't waste emotional capital on something I can't control.

Also, some like distasteful stuff. I don't condone bestiality. But I'm also not going to post links to it out of nowhere with no prompting saying NO.

I think the pic is distasteful and fairly stupid, I'm not demanding all its ones and zeros be stricken from the internet, I've seen a LOT worse. Besides, from what I can tell, it was a commission, I'm guessing the artist didn't have much interest in it besides "I can get money for this".

Anyway, more to the point, good art is good art no matter what the subject matter, but a real critic looks at the intentions behind the art. All those lines and brush-strokes DO form together to make a picture you know. And the picture is what the artist was trying to convey, otherwise they'd draw something else.

Just because it well drawn doesn't make "bestio-petaphillic pan-dimentional self sex" any less unappealing a subject matter.

At the end of the day it all comes down to your tolerance level for the exploitation of other people's characters for the artist and their viewers amusement.

You misunderstand me, when I say it's a kids show I don't mean I'm worried about kids seeing it, (in fact I'd almost forgotten kids even WATCH this show) I'm saying we should hold ourselves to the same standards the creators hold the show. This is a community based on a show that taught us that something doesn't have to be cynical, sexual and violent to entertain and enrich our lives.

And about the R34, yeh, there's no getting rid of it, that's why it's a rule. But most people don't instinctively hate bronies, they are simply under the false impression that this whole thing is sick and perverted because of what they've seen. Here's a scenario:

Troll finds R34 pic,
Troll shows non-brony R34 pic,
Non-brony thinks we're perverts and becomes troll.
BUT
If brony approaches non-brony and explains that we ARN'T perverts then non-brony sees that troll was just trollin', non-brony gains more respect and possibly becomes brony themselves.

This is something many MANY fandoms can't seem to get, if you turtle away and refuse to respond when people say you're weird and sick, then they never learn better. If you actively distinguish your community from it's… less appealing bits then the community wont all be represented by those bits.

TL;DR: If you don't want people thinking your community is sick and perverted, you need to show them that it's not. If you hide away and ignore them you're only proving them right.

Twenty-three is no fun in and of itself. I feel you on that. All I can say is to find some sunshine where you can (given obvious restrictions,) and know that things get better. At least that's been my experience. I'll be praying for you, and come hang out here when you can.

If you don’t want people thinking your community is sick and perverted, you need to show them that it’s not. If you hide away and ignore them you’re only proving them right.

I guess it's also been my experience that some people can't be convinced of things that go against deeply ingrained concepts. Maybe I've just been around those kind of people for the past few years, and usually assume people don't change unless they have a real self-serving reason to change.

But you're right. The community on the whole (much like any) isn't dangerously (i.e., breaking some law) or otherwise perverted.

I'd really like for people to accept guys that like MLP as simply that: guys that like My Little Pony. Maybe I should be more optimistic?
