I was wondering what everyone's opinions on spoilers were. There's an image that Platus uploaded where a staff member working on the show leaked a ton of information about season 2. Personally, I wish things like this would never happen. I find that it prevents you from enjoying the show in the way it was originally intended. I already knew about the Flutterrage scene in episode 26 before I watched it, so when it happened I really wasn't surprised. On the other hand, I didn't know anything about Party of One before watching it, so when Pinkie went completely schizo I was practically rolling around laughing. It's only been a couple of days since the season 2 release date was announced, but already there are spoilers everywhere I look.
Does anyone else share my hatred for spoilers, or am I just over thinking things here?

I want more Season 2 discussion.
First thing, I think the rumors from the screencap you sent were deconfirmed according to EqD. A post from a layout artist said "It looks fake to me," or some such.
 
I always think professional teams with a creator at the helm can execute the production of a show better than a blurb on a page. However, the synopsis of the first episode simply came at a time where I was already excited about the September air date becoming more and more concrete. I couldn't pass it up.
 
As for the one that had a bunch of season 2 spoilers, I didn't want to read that one even in the midst of my excitement. I want to see the execution of the whole season in the future more than just the story of the season now. Fortunately, I don't feel like reading that part about the opener spoiled it, and I'm still not sold that the spoiler was true. I'll have to see once I've seen the episode itself if the experience was cheapened for me.
 
I do applaud those who know where the spoilers are and don't read them.

I love the first 6 Mega Man games, but I suck at them. I actually tend to suck at most video games though.

im really worried with hasbro taking down all the episdoes from youtube… people say it is the work of trolls. i have hard time beliving… the timing was done right before season 2. and hasbro was known to take down some videos before…

they really have no care for their fanbase? do they all just care about making more money? uuuugh

I'm not so worried, since this isn't the first time videos have been taken down under their name. Every time it happened in the past it turned out to be trolls, and there's no reason why this time should be any different. I don't think we have any concrete proof either way, but there is some evidence that it was trolls:

• The episodes were removed in an order that a big business wouldn't have bothered with (I think they went through them one by one from the start of the season)
• Hasbro never confirmed it was them, and if they had a problem with the videos being on YouTube they probably would have said something.
• The message declaring that the videos had been removed included some typos (a clear sign of an amateur attack)
• Only two channels were hit, while a large organisation such as Hasbro could easily have hit every channel (I may be wrong here, but as far as I know only MenloMarseilles and angrytigerp were hit)
• Hasbro have always been supportive of us in the past.
• If you think about it, they have little to gain by removing the videos. Those videos helped create a huge online community that has helped to boost the popularity of their toys and their show.

This here is Pinkie Pie. I'm going to leave her here before I lay the logic down. However, I get the feeling as if all of this won't be read anyway, so I'll tl;dr it.

 
Personally, I'm still expecting Hasbro to lay down the law and enforce their copyright, but I don't think that is the case this time.

• There are other channels with full episodes that are untouched. With just a little research, an intern could easily find them, flag them, and pull those too. Since the episodes are still up, I don't think it's Hasbro.
• There were misspellings of "Hasbro, Inc." on some of the notices. No corporation worth their salt will make that simple mistake.

Honestly, I did think it was Hasbro at the onset, because of the timing of the DVD and me being a cynic. But those two points in the bullets are plenty enough evidence for me to think that the flaggers were trolls.

Their main focus is to make money. Let no Brony believe otherwise.
They've left the videos up there for this long, so even if they pull them before the Season 1 DVD and Season 2 Premiere drop, I can't ever say that they don't care about the fanbase.

• They posted a massive billboard in California (and it wasn't targeted at young girls)
• They paid for the production of a commercial which was specifically targeted at Bronies
• And perhaps most of all, we are not the primary fanbase anyway. Young girls are. We are an unexpected tertiary demographic (parents of young girls would be secondary.)

They are probably doing this to gain more money, but I think this level of periphery targeting is unprecedented.
 
TL;DR
They've shown they care about us, and there's a couple of bits of strong evidence that shows they didn't pull the videos.

I have a request for y'all, I need y'all to post your favorite pics. You can post a max of 3 (don't want to overload the thread) and they can be anything (crossovers, daww pics, super srs pics, lol pics, etc.).
I need this because I recently moved from a virus ridden computer to a new one and my almost 1GB pony file (i try to save every pic I post and come across) was left on the old computer (like I said, lots of viruses) and now I have to rebuild my pony folder from the ground up.

Well, "cool" is a matter of cultural values and individual preferences to a lesser extent. Since most of those who've been posting on here are fans and are part of a community devoted to ponies, I'd say…yes.

(Please let the current state of this thread continue. I don't mind images…as long as it's not the focus.)
