I'm interested in seeing what new background ponies fans will notice and make popular next season.

I'm thinking there will be no new background ponies. I think the current ones are going to be getting more attention and leave no room for new ones (I can't even keep up with all the current ones).

It appears we have a flamewar on the meme page over people not using this thread for discussion. Perhaps I should get over my forum-phobia.

Tens bets Faust includes pony versions of pop culture icons. If I see a pony version of Stephen Colbert, bricks will be released.

The creators once explained they just use the same models for the different background ponies, sometimes with simple re-collering. This explains multiple same ponies appearing in one scene sometimes. But the background ponies the fanbase made popular will probably get more air time yes. So there will be more background ponies, but it's up to the fanbase which will become popular.

No images on the last page? Maybe I can use the forums after all.

And I should be more clearer. Images wars here on the forums. On walls though? I'm cool with that.

There will probably be a few more background ponies, but only when the situation requires it. For example, they had to make Octavia to play in the band, and they had to make a bunch of teachers for Twilight's entrance exam. The current lot just won't work in every conceivable situation, so they'll have to add a few new characters.
Just wondering, are there rules even against reaction pics?

I have attempted to end the main article shitstorm, chances are it didn't work.
We need to say when enough pics are enough, not let others (Drpeperfan) do it for us. We don't need to dedicate an entire page to not posting pics (but might as well keep this one pic free), we need to have some control. Here are a few ideas I'm thinking will help us with that:

1: max of one pic per post.
2: don't dedicate pages to something.
3: keep calm and don't start shitstorms/flamewars on the thread.\
4: post relevant stuff, I don't want to see a page with all sorts of retarded shit on it (we are not 4chan, we can keep a conversation on track)
5: ???
6: profit

Feel free to suggest other rules, we will eventually make a set of thread rules and post them at the start of every page.

Whatevs. Back to ponies. Anyone got a wishlist for possible places, characters or events they want to see an episode dedicated to? I would like to see one set in Fillydelphia or some Pony version of the UK.

Actually… it looks like things might finally be calming down over there. Bout time too, I really think we were in danger of having the comments locked if it didn't come to a close soon.

OH GAWD NO, my past experiences with American television have taught me that nothing good can come from any depiction of the UK. We're usually made to look like a bunch of posh idiots who talk like the queen. That, or we have stupid stereotypes thrown our way (I swear, our teeth really aren't that bad).
As for an event I'd like to see an episode dedicated to, I'd like to see The Winter Moon Festival with Luna. Some fanfic I read recently had it, and I thought it was a really good idea.

That sounds good, and it'd give Luna some much needed screen time and I'm all for that.

Those stereotypes we throw around are played for laughs. We all know you don't have teeth like that and we know you aren't all posh upper class morons. I often find the overuse of the stereotypes annoying though. The joke is old and was hardly funny in the first place.

But before we had our image wars in the forums, we did it in the comments, but those were always just 1 image per post. So i guess that a small image war with one image per post won't really matter. Just don't go "Guys I need images of this", we have ponychan for that. But for reaction images I really don't care, those keep the conversation going.

Also note the irony that you're our biggest image poster. :P

Maybe it would be best to create a JFF forum only dedicated to image dumps/wars, then use this one for discussion and other fun things (like those pop-quizes), images allowed in small amounts. But it might be best to suggest something like that in Site-Related first, just to prevent another derail.

We'll see how things develop first.

I'm guessing we where both stressed. :P I have a tendency to jump to the defense of a community I love being a part of, to an almost extremist degree if pressured. And I have a feeling DrPepperfan was being harassed by other, less tolerant, people into trying to get us to stop.

Regardless I still really don't like the forum setup they have here on KYM. For example I just quoted you and now I can't even read what you posted in the first place while I'm typing.

We didn't get kicked off, some of us bronies suggested we move the conversations here after the image lock.

Like the Winter Moon Festival idea. Its a logical step from 2 episodes including the Solstice (Spring Sun Festival) and could be used as a plot device to further include Princess Luna. Perhaps, seeing as how this season may flow into the holiday season, possible holiday episodes. That or having a harvest festival episode.

I didn't want to start another s**tstorm, so I deleted the post almost as soon as I posted it.

They where threatening to shut down the comments section if we didn't go here to talk. That sounds pretty forceful to me.

I'm gunna miss the simple convenience that the comments section had, like how you could write a reply without having to go to a new page, or how all the links to the wiki and EqD as well as the image section where RIGHT THERE. And how do I get here from the front page? It's much easier to have that convenient link at the top.

At least this place has quote functionality, that's something. :P

Its just my humble opinion, but it seems to me like we were, but as Gigatoast said, it might've been pressure from haters and parasprites in power. But again, that is just my opinion and hopefully it won't cause any trouble. Celestia knows we've had enough of that.

Luna has already been announced to return in Season 2. With a fanbase of her size, they would be crazy to not add her.

About Trixie, I honestly can't tell. It's very possible she re-appears, but I can't promise you anything about her character. She was made to be like that in Season 1, although she did show remorse during the Ursa Major/Minor attack.

I dont like to think of her as a complete douche and feel she has the capacity to change. And i agree with Dr Ray as long as she doesnt make fluttershy cry then its all gravy.

I really want to like her you know, but I really haven't seen very many believable characterizations on the web. I do like the little comics and gifs of her entertaining herself while on the moon, that's pretty adorable, just so long as they keep the weepypasta out of the equation.

And I hope Trixie makes a reappearance, unchanged preferably. Characters like that make great villains or rivals. Same goes for Gilda, I wanna see an episode where she tries to take her revenge on Ponyville. :D

Anyone got anymore ideas for future episodes? As I said, any specific character, event, or setting you would like to see?

Without trying to spark this crap back up, if you're only two options are "leave" or "we'll make you leave" that constitutes being forced out.

There is strong rumor, so one can only hope. Personally I would like to see more episodes like Over a Barrel where the episode isn't focused in the Ponyville/Everfree region. It would be cool for a Fillydelphia episode, cuz it was mentioned.

Trixie vs. Twilight magic duel would be cool, and I would like to see another Spike-Centric episode where he isn't all jealous.
