I'm not a troll. I don't hate MLP, but I don't particularly like it. I've seen some of it and I must say it is well-done, but I just don't see the reason for all the quick adoption of it by teh interwebz.

Well, I for one enjoy it cause unlike most cartoons today, it doesn't make me want to aim my proton gun at my head and fire.

Cause that annoyingly runs the chance of getting the comments closed, and one rouge moderator (I won't name names) already closed the pictures once, I wouldn't have any doubt that another one who hates ponies would hesitate to close the comments should they get out of hand.

It's also not good for the community to divide the userbase by where they post comments, not everyone is willing to put up with this forum nonsense.

And what was the problem again "MLP is stuck on top of the trending bar and people browsing the activity section have to deal with comments from the pony page" THE HORROR! Makes me wonder why I was the only one freaking out when they told us to GTFO.

Hey if i remember right Drpepperfan sent us here because we dumped images in the comments and i didnt hear anything about discussions or pony related topics consisting mainly of text. So my question is why the fuck are we still hear. He cant tell us what to do especially if hes not a major contributor.

Now that I'm finally able to watch, seems to be that she was more sad that she wasn't able to banish the Ursa Major/Minor more then anything, but that's just me.

Now if you'll excuse me, this situation with the comments has given me a headach, and I need to continue on with my LP anyways, hopefully everything will get sorted out tomorrow.

You know what would make this better, and I've said this already, is if we could arrange the thread last comment first. That's how the page comments work. I was on a forum community ages ago that did that, and it was wonderful. I can't stand this format.

Drpepperfan isn't great with leaving snark out of (gender neutral possessive adjective) objectivity, but he does have some moderator title, and he will kill the comments thread. He'd probably get a little bit of pleasure from it, so I wouldn't tempt him. If the Comments section gets flooded, they'll probably get shut down, because the original intent was for memetic comments and not for show discussion or random pony talk. I don't think the section have to serve a specific purpose, but I don't run the site and that's not my call.
 
And if you guys continue something past posting in the comments, you'll probably just be banned. And I don't want to see you guys kicked off of here, mostly because you're both entertaining and that would just suck in general.
 
Venting is one thing, but I'm pretty sure a revolution is just going to get put down like Rainbow Dash's last pet which has never been talked about in Season 1 because it was just too soon and Rainbow really didn't want to talk about it or get another three-toed cloud sloth.

As for the discussion, it is a little depressing, but I think that is just some leftover emotion from the emberwar (not quite a true flamewar.) Maybe in time, we just get used to the forum talks and can find a happy medium between discussion and images.

I dont want to revolt but i dont think we should let dpfan sit on our shoulders and call himself tall. Now im all for negotiations and compromise but i dont like that what he says goes and we have no choice. If you can talk to him or even get a way to make this forum format better im all ears. In the mean time I will try to keep the peace until such time when we have our definite answer

Before anyone attacks me, just know, yes, I am not a brony, but I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING against ANY brony, save for Gigatoast. So please, Gigatoast, SHUT UP, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, OR ACTUALLY DISCUSS MLP.

If you really enjoyed it, you'd want to let yourselves be accessible to non-bronies, so we could feel welcome, and hop on the bandwagon. Instead, I see a war.

EDIT: It looks like Don brought it back up. the edit history shows one from Dr. Pepperfan with one from him immediately after. I really hope that the mods don't start fighting among themselves. That would be very bad.

I agreed that Don could unlock the comments…..but. We will be discussing this with the other other Mods and Staff tomorrow. So how you behave for the next 24 hours could be important. Be nice. Don't spam the comments with too much random talk. And most impotantly, remember.

I agree. This whole situation may have been inevitable, but the approach to it could definitely have used some better execution.

I agree. This is a very unfortunate fight we've gotten into, and it is at least partially our own fault. We should simmer down and let reason prevail. Flamewars help nobody.

I checked my e-mail a few minutes ago and I got 88 updates from this forum. Is anything special going on here right now?

Exactly they only hurt everyone. The more we can do to calm everyone down the better. If we approach this in a peaceful and just manner im certain we can get dpfan to see our point of view and then we can compromise

I like how this fandom survives just about anything.
First we got kicked from 4chan but still managed to stick around the threads and spread ponies.
Then we come here and get hated on but persevere. I’m happy about that.
Then all our sites (ponychan, EQD, etc.) get far more popular and less hater filled.
Then the fox thing happened but we simply shruged it off.
Then other sites began taking notice of us in a positive way (memebase gave us our own section, places like The Escapist became bronies, ect.).
Then the image lock happened, we got a little out of hand but managed to straighten things out.
Then we start defeating any troll that came our way.
Then I start noticing fighting between bronies and bronies being haters towards other things (furries, certain memes, etc.) but I (thankfully) see bronies attempting to fix that.
Now we have this situation with Drpeperfan, a brony (more or less) that took action against us. We must not act as we did during the image lock, we have the mods on our side (more or less).
Drpeperfan locked our comments but Dom opened them back up not long after they were locked. We all must keep calm and continue about or normal activities. Do not go rage against Drpeperfan (as I was going to do) or post an influx of ponies.
We all must remember to never feed a parasprite or a person who we (basically everybrony) simply disagree with,

One thing I'm wondering, why do two of the entry moderators for the page have pony hater in the title? That's not very reassuring if you ask me.

Also, is there not a place to suggest switching the forum deals so we can have last page first? If we're forced to use the forums, and from the looks of it, we are, I don't really want to have to go to the last page each time in order to post.

Good thing I avoid the flame war. I was wondering what was going on in the comments section, but I'm glad everything got sorted out.

Drpepperfan is right though. That's not what the comments are for. Sure, you may not like this system as much, but the thing is you shouldn't have been using that system in that way in the first place. I agree that the forums aren't the best in the world, but you work with what you've got. If you have a suggestion, take it over to site related and they'll take a look at it and consider it.

Hooooly shit. I just looked at the comments for the page, and geez, you guys are really being self righteous and unwilling to accept change. I mean, god damn you guys, use the site's resources how they were intended to be used. What you've been doing is like trying to place screws using a shovel when a screwdriver would have been infinitely more simple correct and just generally not really stupid. Hey, everypony! Fun question: If someone were to tell you one year ago that within a year you would become a huge fan of a little girls' cartoon about magic ponies, how would you have responded?

I would've been all "wht?", though honestly, I have no room to talk, I do like cartoons, and the one thing I like about this is is that it's pretty much tolerable, unlike a lot of cartoons that have come out in this day and age.
