I think we've already established here that I have the exact opposite taste to you two. Besides, the show's color palette gives me a headache, so I couldn't watch it even if I wanted to. Plus besides Log Horizon, I have nearly zero tolerance for trapped in a videogame type shows. I just find them uninteresting usually.
^
Ok, but they aren't trapped in a videogame.
@loli
Stop insulting my waifu please.
No Game no life is like, a 5 out of 10.
Chaika has the best OP this season.
All of your waifus are too engrossed in their romantic two girl friendships to ever pay attention to you. Cry.
@Dac
Oops, I didn't mean to put trapped in a video game, I just meant video game themed shows in general. My mistake. Doesn't change my mind though
Actually, if I may get into your best girl competition briefly, I have to say that even I acknowledge that Neko is objectively the best girl in the show.
^
I know, just correcting you.
Anyways, you are getting back on my good side. Neko is superior waifu.
Stop insulting my waifu please.
No. Accept the fact that Kazumi is better.
No Game no life is like, a 5 out of 10.
No.
Chaika has the best OP this season.
Chaika's OP is pretty good, the show is funny too.

Shut up my waifu loves me.
I have to say that even I acknowledge that Neko is objectively the best girl in the show.
Neko is superior waifu.
I'm so done with this thread.
Okay, why nobody told me we have a mekakucity actors entry? Shame on you guys.
@Loli
I've had the Kagerou Project entry in the backburner for awhile now, I've been planning to work on it after I finish the Soul Eater entry, work on the BlazBlue and Sailor Moon entries and create a Shaft entry. I have a lot to do.
Anyway, you don't have to leave, but you do have to acknowledge the Neko master race.
Top 10 anime this season voted by men and women
There is so much wrong with these lists
>No Kawai Complex
>Mahouka
>The World is Still Beautiful is too low
>Mahouka
>Mushishi too low
>MAHOUKA
>Mekakucity Actors only on girls
>MAHOUKA!!!!
>No Ping Pong
>FUCKING MAHOUKA!!!!!
mfw
At least One Week Friends is high on both, and Haikyuu is in first place with girls. This confirms that girls have superior taste in anime besides Mahouka.
Ah, One Week Friends. I love that show.
I'm genuinely glad that at the very least One Week Friends is popular. It's the show I watch to calm down. It's also nice that now Tonari no Seki-Kun is over, it's the last thing to air in the week, which is a nice way to calm down after a week of anime

You should update the information about the anime.

Yeah, School Days is not there.
Black Bullet is on that list, I guess many men enjoy watching lolis fighting against other lolis.

What kind of heartless bastard would not love that show? Is moe but in a good way.
At least there's one thing we can all agree on. Truly One Week Friends brings people together.
Another week, another post telling you to watch Kawai Complex and The World is Still Beautiful. I won't rest until all of you are watching them (they're over in a few weeks anyway).

The new episode of Kawai felt like it was directed by shaft, i wonder if the head tilt thing is gonna take over all animes, also The World is Still Beautiful is an amazing show, i shall join you in this weekly promotion
The more the word can be spread the better, both are criminally underrated shows. I feel that's been the case with most shows this season, I mean, neither are popular, but at least they aren't Captain Earth. I mean Captain Earth is awesome, but I haven't heard anyone talk about it.

Captain Earth is being looked over for some odd reason even though its excellent, shameful.
cough Akari best girl cough
Now that's an opinion I can agree with. Do I need to go get the belly button forte gif to show why?
Dat sweet and wonderful belly button
uni is murder, last time i watched something was last week's episode of jojo…
also one of these unsuccessful delivery attempt notes were in my postbox and my body was ready for lazengann, but it was only a screen protector
I feel you, itabtoo. I'm not in Uni yet, but I have been getting quite a bit of work lately which has been severely limiting my time to watch stuff. Everyone's talking about all the airing anime they're watching, and I'm just sitting here watching JoJo and Mekaku. Speaking of Mekaku, I find that it's really beginning to become quite intriguing. They're really doing a good job of expanding on the world and showing the connections between the characters, and I like good world building in my fiction.
Since summer is upon us, I'll be able to watch a lot more anime in the coming months, which really excites me. I plan to keep up with the airing stuff much more next season. Speaking of airing stuff, has anyone seen the Tokyo Ghoul trailer?
I am interested in it, as it looks like it might have some cool horror elements.
It's been some time since I posted.
Anyways, best loli of the season:
I may have said that Black Bullet reminded me of Attack on Titan a little bit in the beginning, but now that Rentaro announced that he will kill all the Gastrea, I'm seeing more of a similarity.
No Game, No Life is probably the best show of the season. I do love the characters in Nanana's Buried Treasure, but I really don't know where this show is going.
I stopped watching Chaika. I guess it just didn't interest me enough.
Best OP of the season: Nanana's Buried Treasure
Best ED of the season: Black Bullet
Can anyone recomend a really good anime? I have been watching the stuff for years but sort of hit a snag and now I'm rewatching KLK and Jojo. I would like to watch something already finished so that I can marathon it.
@Captain Badass
best loli of the season: Tina-chan
Mah nigga. I'm best loli tho.
@Random21
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^No Game, No Life is probably the best show of the season.
I do love the characters in Nanana’s Buried Treasure, but I really don’t know where this show is going.
11 episodes are not enough, not for the story and not for us. I hope there is at least a second season.
She and Tensai are best girls btw.
I stopped watching Chaika. I guess it just didn’t interest me enough.
Best OP of the season: Nanana’s Buried Treasure
I like Black Bullet's OP more, matter of taste I guess.
Best ED of the season: Black Bullet
Mmmm to me Kawai Complex's ED is perfect. I always find myself singing that song.
I also started watching JoJo
I need to watch JoJo, my life definitely needs more JoJo.
@ quavalin
Katanagatari, Yozakura Quartet, Psycho Pass, Toaru Majutsu No Index and Toaru Kagaku No Railgun, Samurai Champloo, FLCL, Little Witch Academia, Monogatari Series (All seasons), Angel Beats!, Squid Girl, aaaaaaand much much more.
Any of you guys here read through Bakuman?
I read through it a while back along with Mirai Nikki, and while Mirai Nikki was pretty interesting, I found Bakuman better.
I enjoyed the realistic take on manga as a business, and the whole thing is one of those comics that can inspire you as an artist. Even though I don't draw comics myself (or at least not anymore), I found it to be worth the read.
I definitely recommend it for the artsy people who can handle tons of text, and are not in a constant need of action.
I also tried reading Kuroshitsuji, but each time I looked at Sebastian and Ciel, I couldn't get an image of rabid fangirls drooling after them, and drawing yaoi of them on dA out of my head, so I gave up on that one pretty quick.
I also checked out To Love Ru, but after Bakuman, I kinda couldn't get into it. I kept seeing the stuff that is required for a shounen manga, and couldn't really enjoy it. Too much fanservice, Rito's age and personality, and the style of battles and story turned into a voice that kept telling me "You're too old for this."
Now I'm all ears for good suggestions again, so if you happen to know a few good titles that are not full on mainstream, then I'd love to hear some of them.
Mmmm Shokugeki no Soma maybe? It's really really good.
@Loli
As I have stated multiple times before, not only does the colour scheme give me a headache, but I just naturally don't like shows themed around being in a videogame. It could be the best show ever but it's just not my type of show.
@Muumi
Like I said before, if Kawai Complex's manga is anything like the show, then I heartily recommend that. It's hilarious.
Anyway, this season is actually over in a few weeks, which is kinda scary (then again it always is), so now it's time to ask what shows interest you next season?
I'm obviously going to watch Akame ga Kill, just to see what Dac's raving about all the time
I'm going to check out the new Sailor Moon, because I'm interested to see where they go with it
DRAMAtical Murder because I have friends forcing me into it (I shockingly have nearly zero tolerance for boys-love shows. The guys don't even look that attractive in this one, outside the mc)
Free!: Eternal Summer because it's Free!, there's no way I wouldn't watch it.
Hanamonogatari (even if it's basically a 1-day special) because I promised I'd watch this series until the end
Glasslip because I adore P.A. Works, and it looks interesting
Psycho-Pass reedited to get me int the mood for season 2
Re: Hamatora because, erm, I watched the original I guess? Hamatora isn't really any good. Might be a hate watch for me, but I wouldn't call the original a hate watch so I dunno.
Shounen Hollywood because hotter guys than DRAMAtical Murder
Space Dandy season 2 because I enjoyed to original
Sword Art Online 2 because HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Tokyo Ghoul because the trailers did look interesting
And then I still have, to my knowledge, Captain Earth, Baby Steps and Haikyuu from this season, bringing the total up to a possible 14. Jesus
Oh my god Glasslip looks amazOH GOD CENCOROLL 2
Hanayamata looks pretty nice.
Barakamon sounds like tons of fun.
Tokyo Ghoul, I'm going to read the manga first but sure, why not.
Jinsei looks moe so I might give it a try.
Akame ga Kill! goes into "to watch" list without a doubt.
Bakumatsu Rock looks very promising and it's about music so yeah.
Ao Haru Ride sounds like a romantic comedy, let's see how that goes.
Hanamonogatari duuuhhhhhhh
Maybe Tokyo ESP, I don't know.
Space Dandy 2 of course.
Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!? looks like another generic harem anime so yeah.
Glasslip does look pretty awesome, when I started this season, the only shows that really caught my eye were One Week Friends and Kawai Complex, and it seems to have a similar feel to that. And I gather that the original Cencoroll is something I'll be wanting to check out then? I don't have much to do today (besides Tomodachi Life, which I just arrived early), so I can check it out. I know it's only a single episode but whatever.
Oh, and I think that's the first time I've heard 'generic moe/harem' used to praise something. It's too bad there aren't any people here who watch Free!, that's the kind of show I love to talk about with people.
Shokugeki no Soma seems pretty promising. Quite light, funny, and easy to read in comparison to the stuff I've been reading lately. I'll keep reading it and see where it goes from there. Too bad it's incomplete. I hate waiting for new chapters when I finally catch up to a series.
I tried looking for Kawai Complex when you mentioned it earlier, and now for the second time with different titles/translations. But it seems to be awfully difficult to come by. I didn't find it on the sites I usually go to, and the largest manga supplier around here didn't have it available either.
edit: Finally managed to get a decently formatted comment out. KYM kept messing up everything big time whenever I tried using quotes and such..

If the art is going to be like in that image then is going to be amazing.

The best 24 minutes of you life.
You should also watch "Patema Inverted". A really beautiful movie, I loved it.
Oh, and I think that’s the first time I’ve heard ‘generic moe/harem’ used to praise something.
Is my way to recognize my shitty taste in animes. I like harem animes like "Date A Live", for example, although they are a complete waste of time and they suck. Yes, I'm a very sad person. There is also moe stuff that's pretty good, like One Week Friends.

Tumblr made me develop a weird feeling towards that show, like if it was a yaoi anime. Yaoi scares me.
Muumi wrote:

I knooooooooooooooooooooooow. I just finished reading the last update a few minutes ago, it took me 5 minutes to read it. Now I have to wait a week for a new update.
Also, try Voynich Hotel. It's finished so you don't have to wait for updates.
Is good and bizarre but in a enjoyable way.

I keep forgetting that Tumblr ruins everything. I going to give it a try but not right now, I have a shit ton of stuff to do.
@Muumi
Really? I found it relatively easily actually. It's more commonly found under Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, with that being the Japanese title.
@Loli

I usually have super strict taste, I have near zero tolerance for crap, even if it appeals to me. I have my hate watches, but that's different. That's why I don't like many boys-love shows, they're just crap manservice If Shounen Hollywood and DRAMAtical Murder are bad, I'll drop them off the bat (unless I can get an ironic 'wow this is laughably shit' feel from it).

Who knew cooking could be so epic?
This and Assassination Classroom are my new favorite series in JUMP.

Well shit, I hope you like it or then I will feel stupid for raving about it. Honestly, I really like the manga. It's fun, intense, and I really like the style. Only complaint is that it is needlessly cruel and dark at times. Also, Esdese, Akame, Leone, and Kurome are all tied for best girl at the moment. Man, I can't wait to see the fight scenes. They better be as awesome as they were in the manga. As much as I despise that bitch Seryuu, I can't wait to see her fight.
Anyone here watch Akuma no riddle?
Btw, I liked Black bullet, To edgy, Lolis suffering, All hail Midori fuse cat ears Loli Master race. (You will cry soon, believe me, I readed the novels)
No Game no Life, could be called References: The anime, beside that I love it.
Hitsugi no chaika, Funny, full of action, Chaika, kawaii
And of course, JoJo Bizarre adventure, Manliness, rerorerorero, Oraoraoraora,Mudamudamudamuda and all that stuff, I love it
And Nobunaga the Fool, I have nothing good to say, but I love it anyways
BTW, Those are the only Animes I watch, Could you recomend me Another please…
I loved the first game, easily one of my favorites this year. It's so great knowing the sequel is coming out in just a few months.
Episode 10 of JoJo (the first season): All I can hear is Sakata Gintoki and it makes it very hard to take this seriously anymore.
Is the Black Bullet anime any good? I've been meaning to watch it but never got round to it.

Is like Attack on titan… With overpowered lolis and with the same edgyness
and @Loli
Is not about Midori, is other thing… is… well I can't tell you, it will enter in Spoiler territory
And in other news, The new akuma no Riddle chapter, Was amazing, that fight against that Cyborg Lesbian Ojou is something that will be in my mind for a good time, beside that her second suit looks like a Kill la kill Kamui, It was crazy, The first one looks like the boss from Metal Gear.
I'm in love with this anime

So, I ran into this video and ended up watching it. Honestly, I don't get the appeal of little anime girls, I'd rather sex up Rias Gremory or Tsubasa Hanekawa any day. I fully understand why people are repulsed by Lolicon….. but, I find this guys argument flawed and somewhat hypocritical, scratch that, incredibly hypocritical. Pretty much the gist of his argument is this. 1) If you are a lolicon, you are a pedophile, but more importantly 2) Accepting Lolicon and its existence in media normalizes the idea of sexing up kids. Ok, well, he also brings up two other shows, Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop, and puts them in a good light. Well of course, they are both good shows, but here is the problem I have with his argument. Both those shows are violent, very violent. Couldn't you make the argument that the pervasive violence in Anime and Manga is normalizing violence? Obviously many people have made that argument. It's one that has been around since the infamous fatalities from Mortal Kombat scarred soccer moms around America. I don't think that violence in media makes people violent and that is a pretty common belief for most of us in the video game, anime, and manga fandoms. I mean, we all watch or play our fair share of ultra violent media, but we can separate fantasy from reality. So why when this guy is talking about lolicon, all of a sudden that argument holds water? Isn't that a bit of a double standard?
While I am on the topic of double standards, I showed my friend the trailer for Mortal Kombat X as well as the op for the Senran Kagura cooking game since its going to be at E3 and I think its a hilariously odd op. He thought MKX looked sick as fuck, but thought that Senran Kagura was weird, sick, and to be expected from Japan and anime. He also thought the same about my 3ds game senran kagura burst, which at its worse, only shows them in swimsuits. His reactions to both of them made me think about something. Why is a quirky video that shows partial nudity and cooking really so much worse than a video that shows a realistic decapitation of a person? Why is bravely default censored when realistic depictions of torture (GTA 5) are fine for triple A titles in America? Am I the only one that finds this strange?
Hey, Demolition D+ is my man, man. But yeah, I do agree that his argumentation is a bit flawed on this subject. Though what I got from his video is less "If we're okay with Lolicon, PEOPLE WILL SEX UP THE KIDS" and more "If we're okay with Lolicon, it will become a more accepted concept in fiction, specifically anime and manga". To be honest though, I don't have an extremely strong opinion on the Lolis as of yet because I feel that both sides of the argument have some valid points. I do think that for most people, it's less the age that causes the attraction and more the body type. But I think to say it's never an age thing is pushing it, considering the origins of the term.
The second topic you bring up is much easier to discuss. Basically, the reason why people are more comfortable with realistic depictions of violence/sex and nudity and are less favourable to the highly-stylized animated depictions found in Anime is the same reason people think animation is only for kids. Here in the west, due to our general culture, and the Animation Age Ghetto (check TV Tropes if want a better explanation of this), live-action or highly realistic stuff is considered mature while stylized, cartoonish stuff is viewed as more juvenile. So when people who firmly believe in this dichotomy see stuff such as Senran Kagura they are often confused and weirded out because it's not what they expect to see from the medium, and are uncomfortable with, to an extent. It's really just a difference in cultural attitudes towards animation in a stylized format.
TL;DR Animated titties make people in the west scared.
Funny you should talk about double standards in anime, Anime News Network's recent Answerman Q&A mentions that very same topic. Oh, and Senran Kagura is a bad game anyway, is mind numbingly bland besides the blatant tits and violence
^
Yeah, I have yet to finish the game since its virtually the same thing over and over. I might give the psvita game a look though. But yeah, I want really talking about the qaulity of the game, just the boobies and why it freaks people out. Especially my friend who I know likes boobies.
Before I recommend Kawai Complex and The World is Still Beautiful again, can I take an opportunity to ask what the hell happened to Mekakucity's art style at the beginning? It looks like it mated with Flowers of Evil
