Need help finding more music!

Wazzap, fellow music lovers of KYM. Recently I found the following diddy of music from a webm on 4chan (some may know it as the throat singer webm).

The down-temp nature and trap beat this piece has, as well as that absolutely butter-smooth bass drop are massivley alluring. I've listened to the piece about twenty times today alone, and I need more pieces like it.

tl;dr: I need more of this sort of trap acid-hop sounding stuff. If you have any, please post in the thread! It'll help for my compiling of a study playlist.

This style is all around Youtube, I've come across plenty like this and if you keep looking you will find it. Can't recall any specific names for you, although that smooth liquid trap kinda reminds me of Ital Tek actually

Check out Youtubes related vids next to this one and you are more likely to find more.

Also check out the rest of the discography from Medasin because they made more in this style.

Oh and forgot to mention. If you love trap then it might pay to talk to KYMs leading Trap specialist. he should be able to give you some leads

I'd check out some of Clams Casino's work, as well as Blank Banshee, if you're looking for a trap flavored instrumental album.
Other fantastic instrumental hip hop artists, that are experimental west coast styled, rather then a trap style include Madlib, J Dilla, and MF DOOM's instrumental tapes.
You'd probably enjoy Carnage and possibly some of Mike-Will-Made-It's (probably more of the former) work even though they are trap rap.

Also Twisty is a big pleb.

@Nononifier

I’m not as much a fan of trap as a mixture of hip-hop and trap.
Not sure how much he’d know about that kind of thing.

Trap seems to come in two varieties.

  • There's the trap from the Hip Hop crowd with obvious influences from Hip Hop and Rap.
  • And then there's Trap that's made by the EDM crowd with way more electro-house influences.

Twisty is all about the first one. Pretty sure he'd know a thing or two about Hip Hop related trap. Not so much the other though

If you're looking for some good classic rock, just search the names of JoJo characters on Youtube.

Some classic rock is always appreciated. I found Full Force to be pretty great, and as always, Vanilla Ice is cheesy af. King Crimson has caught my attention, but they seem more like things I should listen to enjoy rather than background shit.

Another example of Medasin's discography I found. The more I delve into this man's rabbit hole of music, I'm more entranced.

Don't listen to Rapscallion when he calls people a pleb he calls everyone a pleb.
Also he thinks Neon bible is worse then Reflektor which makes him a pleb himself.

It's rare I call someone a big, pleb though

Also neon bible is the least consistent AF album and reflector is only disliked since it's different

I have a feeling you'll really like Emancipator. May not be Trap, but it's neat Trip-Hop.

This was the gate-way song for me, now I hope it'll be the same for you.
