Scary… My computer got hit with a major virus a couple days ago… And I come here all the time…
I've never gotten this…
D:
But I HAVE gotten a virus from KYM before. It was on a soccer related meme page.
>tries to visit aeropause.com on a library computer.
>receives a browser warning from firefox
>googles aeropause
>receives warning from google when trying to visit link
what page were you on? or maybe it was in the ads??? o.o
I've not gotten anything in the last few days, but I use adblock.
I wouldn't be too alarmed by messages like that unless they appear consistently every time you visit KYM
If it happens only once or twice, its probably a false alarm. That happens all the time. Usually because of ads that come from questionable hosts
I checked it four times. It's definitely on page thirteen of the Fictional Character Alphabet Game. Every time I open it in Chrome and scroll down a little, I get the same warning.
I'm not too worried about it, it's just a heads up.
This happened to me the other day, it was blocked though.
It's this picture:
It's hosted on aeropause's website and so the warning comes up because of that.
Edit: So basically it's NotSoCoolTheDewott's fault for using google.
Now I Got a warning on this thread.
Lol.
Used chrome, firefox and IE and still didn't get any warning on this page. However when I try to visit the actual image page I do.
Yep, EFP's most definitely right. If you look at Notsocool's post, it is indeed from aeropause.
I really doubt Notso knew that website was inherently malicious- I bet he just did a google image search for Trogdor, found a good one, and directly embedded it into that thread… No harm meant.
This reminds me of something a year ago. When the site switched from it's old layout to it's current one, there was some sort of maleware threat that kept happening. This caused the site to be slow, and I kept hearing the Avast! voice saying "threat has been detected" over and over again.
My reaction to this.
Why have no staff addressed this?
I was thinking that too.
We clearly nailed the offending image. Ever since EFP posted it in this thread, this thread gives me a malware warning every single time.
Delete that image already
Just checked outta curiosity, and yes, it's down now.
Thanks, whoever did that, and now I humbly request a lock.
The only time i have ever gotten this message was when i first tried to come to THIS thread.
