Use (h2) (/h2)
with <> instead of () or h2.

Umm, that's HTML, not Textile.
With textile, enter h1. or h2. at the beginning of a line. Make sure to hit Enter twice at the end, or the effect will continue.
Read the post more carefully. I put textile in at the end.
