Threads auto-closing despite recent posts

Hey, has anybody noticed that some threads are closing themselves once they hit the age of 30 days? Regardless of who just recently posted in it.

Cringeworthy general here just auto-closed even though you can see the last post in it was only 6 hours ago.

3 times so far I've had people approach me and ask to unlock their threads by changing the expiry date.

Any idea what's going on here?

I think KYM needs to be re-programmed all over.
"You may also like"s, tags, follow/friend scripts, embeded video start points, cannot unspoilering all spoilers or NSFW's (and yet there is no seizure warning spoiler), repeating sentences when you put a space between sentences on forums… list can go on.

About topic. I dunno. Is there something wrong with KYM's time settings or something?

All threads have an expiry date set to 30 days from the moment you make them. When that expiry is met, the thread auto-locks

Each time you post you should reboot that expiry date so it lasts another 30 days

But it looks as though KYM isn't rebooting the thread expiry date like it should

[edit]

Also I forgot to mention, if you guys have any of your older thread auto-lock on you, just report them here or on my wall. I'll open them back up for you

Thanks for starting a thread about this, BSOD. It's only happened to me once myself, but if you guys can't get in touch with Blue Screen, you can ask me as well.

When you edit a forum topic (change the title, switch the forum, etc) the form includes a field for the expiration date with a default value of 30 days from now. I'm guessing someone edited the thread last month and that automatically set an expiration date of 2/10/14 which is why it locked today.

There's a bug where the thread's expiration date is being checked before the most recent post's time when it should be the other way around.
