So, seems that people are still misusing Reaction Images. When's that lock coming along?
When users misude the RI gallery, i've noticed that they don't heed the warning on the upload page or know better. I've found that after I've posted the following message, some users have corrected the way they upload images to the RI gallery. You can just copypaste it onto the wall who users who misuse the gallery so that they (hopefully) don't do it again. In the case they don't I propose we proceed to keep posting on their wall until they do.
Hello (user). Please take note that the Reaction Images (RI) image gallery is only for images that don’t have an existing entry on this site. For example, don’t upload an image of Pokémon to the RI gallery, upload it to the already existing Pokémon image gallery instead. You must check to see if there is a more appropriate gallery for your images before you upload them to the RI gallery. When an image is incorrectly uploaded to the RI gallery, Mods have to move it to its correct gallery themselves. The situation is that there are now too many images being uploaded to the RI gallery for the mods to handle, which has led them to consider locking the RI gallery. When a gallery is locked, no one can add media to that gallery. If you care about the RI gallery or this site in general, please upload your images to their correct galleries. I don't think we should further pursue trying to "prevent" users from misusing the gallery. We tried everything: we put a media upload notice, we moved recent images, we messaged users who commonly uploaded to RI, left a lock threat in the comments of RI. There's really nothing else we can do except lock the gallery so we can clean it up and never worry about it again.

Don't forget warning anyone who uploaded stuff to RI that belongs elsewhere.
He said it was working! If you don't want to bother fine, but he's clearly pointing out something that's actually helping, this is coming across like you just have a grudge.

This isn't the first time something like this happened. The only "help" we ever got was certain users avoiding misuse of the gallery, while others (even older faces such as Ms Fortune) still upload to the gallery blindly. If we were to warn each individual user who posted wrongly in the gallery, it'd be more trouble than its worth.
Except that it sounds like we've got a few repeat offenders who didn't get the memo otherwise that this is getting through to.
I'm not sure 3 days is really enough to say either way. I say it'd be best to wait a bit longer, try to get the word out to more users.

That seems fair, definitely need more time, just frustrating to see efforts that seem to be making a difference discarded.

Dick Wolf pretty much sum this up. Yes, it is allowed to upload an image to multiple galleries provided that the image in question fits the galleries equally.
