Seriously borders should be open, just pay for the plane/boat or whatever you need get to another country and that's it!
Get on a line to get to another line to deliver the papers to ask for a visa is too much.

Forget the obvious satire from the above line. It's only my frustration with the process of getting visa for tourism in the Schengen zone, the precesses is complete mess right now, since they
combined the tourism visas of all Schengen states in one place instead of each on his own embassy, they wont answer phone calls to schedule the day to deliver the papers and when they do they schedule to deliver them near to to day I have a flight and I lost my flight because they didn't give the visa on time their response was " sir you didn't schedule early to deliver the papers" I replied "you guys don´t answer the phone early and scheduled me to deliver them four days before my fight! You guys answered my phone 9 days before the appointment! ".
They later said to me that I meet the requirements to get a visa ,"just change your flight" they said ,I did it and I got the visa.

I know that visas are to control, this is an abuse, I traveled to Schengen states at least 8 times since 2000 for tourism and medical reasons, if I wanted to emigrate I should have gone with my mother in 1998 to Germany ,this situation made decide to get a Portuguese passport so the next time I will have only to pay for the plane and get to go to Europe with no need for a visa and for the bonus going to America with a Portuguese passport gets a "facilitated" visa.

Real open borders would be catastrophic because no one controlling would lead to
situations like in my country of people who came from counties with which we have a no visa deal just come in and work at the construction sites for less of the minimum wage ,even if those
jobs are the jobs that capeverdians don´t want (which is a retarded thing to say, if you have the chance to work on something take it) it´s unfair.

Facilitating the movement of people is great but controlling who is getting in and keep a eye on them to check if they don't overstay is not a bad thing even on zones like Schengen or the CEDEAO .

What are your thoughts open borders KYM?Should we open or restrict them?

Travel administration, customs, and border security are a pain to deal with, but at the end of the day if they catch one criminal then they serve a purpose in my book. Ignoring security for the sake of personal comfort is an extremely hazardous outlook IMO.

Visas should be removed tbh. If you want to know if a guy crossing a border is a criminal, then just take a good look at him, and see if he looks like a guy/gal from the wanted list, and take his fucking DNA just to be sure.

Border checks and visas are there not because they annoy you, but because they are designed to ensure the safety of the country and people within. Taking an extra hour to verify you're not some crazy fucking islamic terrorist or a fugitive is not a bad thing.

Just because it's annoying doesn't mean it's not there for a good reason.

Borders should remain as open or restricted as they are right now in my opinion. In fact if anything more open borders are the last thing we need considering what's been happening recently.

Visas and borders, like others in the thread have said, are a necessary inconvenience. Travelling and immigration can be a pain sometimes but if that means ordinary people can get in and criminals/terrorists are kept out, then I'd consider border security useful.

I didn't know you used kym soros?

I do think border control should be more refined. Like recently I had a very very bad experience with visas and all. My grandma from Brazil was going to visit me in June and they've been trying to get the visa stuff ready a couple months before. My grandma who had been to the United States like 6 times and followed all the arrival and leaving dates strictly every time for the travel visas.

This year, they rejected her travel visa. They also rejected my aunts who were going with her. Then she applied again without the aunts and that changed her ability to go for some reason and they accepted her. From what I heard the interview process is barebones. They don't want information. They don't look at most of it they only look at what they want to see. They said they'd send my grandma her passports and visa. Then, they said like the next day that "oops we didn't send it you need to come back and do another interview" and my grandma had to fly over to the other city with the facility a 2nd time because they fucked up. Even though they didn't want to hear any details of her history or anything she told the dude and she was pissed.

She got the Visa again but this time it worked. Except for my aunts of course they couldn't visit and probably never will judging on how quickly they were turned away. The process is insane. But the sad part is that like half of illegals make it in through violating travel visas so if I should be angry at anyone it should be the assholes who abuse the system and make these restrictions necessary in the first place. I still do think something can be done to make the process make more sense. This is only one example too I've heard quite a few other horror stories involving visas.

Tell her to forget the visa, just cross the border and turn herself in to the nearest BP officer. Obama admin ordered them to simply give illegal immigrants a court date and let them go to wherever they want to go as long as they pinkie swear to show up on said court date. Have her trot over to Cali and grab a license first, she can even stick around to vote afterwards thanks to the governor's new Motor Voter act. The globalists would rather open the border up and welcome every third world "refugee" than facilitate a simpler visa process, they WANT people to flood in so they can say how pointless and clearly ineffective borders are.

Sounds like your aunts are on the no-fly. Again, illustrating the problem with taking away constitutional rights from people who inadvertently end up on the no-fly list, which they are only able to infer if they're denied a flight (altho your aunts are foreign citizens so they don't have constitutional rights regardless). There's nothing they can do to verify or get off it, so it is very likely that they will never be able to visit the US again.

If you want someone to stop rampant illegal immigration and visa chaos/abuse, you know what to do this November ¯\(ツ)
