Is a new system being put in place? That seems like it would be a believable reason nothing would trend, but I can't be certain until somebody tells us for sure.

The mods are clearly planning something. What they had up before was obviously a quick fix. Perhaps the new system is a big enough overhaul that they have to shut the trending bar down in order to implement it.

In all seriousness, I hope this is what's happening. I remember a mod mentioning the current system was only temporary. Why a new system would require removing the old system ahead of time, I don't know.
