So you know how Wikipedia gives users their own page for experimenting with wiki syntax?

We should probably add something like that to this site so users can be familiar with the syntax before editing an entry.

What do you guys think?

I don't think this is imperative. Editing articles on KYM isn't that hard, and we have the preview button when editing so editors can see if their input is working or not.
