This idea is courtesy of Particle Mare in the previous thread I made about the concept of KYM Gold. Basically, the community could favorite threads, comments, and forum posts exactly like you can with images, entires, videos, etc. What are the community's thoughts on this?

If we could save our favourite stuff in a personal archive that others could view that'll be alright

Why didn't you let Particle Mare make the thread? I mean, it was her idea.

yeah, i think this would be kinda cool. you could see all of your favourite old posts/threads/comments. it would be cool to see other's favourites. also completely implausible but it would be cool to have the most favourited threads etc. in one place like a leader board of course, leader boards would make people want to make really lame wide-appealing posts which would be awful.

of course new features are very big tasks and not necessarily something our staff would be willing to do.

It's alright, Bob. It was just a small idea that I threw out with little intent of pursuing it further. I'm sure Epyc will be a more engaged thread host.

Well, Particle responded for me here. I waited about 12 hours, noticed she'd already been active for a while today and hadn't said anything about it, so I posted. Thank you for expressing your concern.

That is another interesting idea Blubber. There is a semi-leaderboard kind of thing set up by sorting images/videos by favorites, so perhaps something like that existing but for comments, threads, and forum posts would benefit the community. Excellent input.

I'd personally prefer no leaderboard for the same reasons blubber suggested as how people will get really whore-y with their posts. Then again we already have like memeory lane and that doesn't cause much whoreness, aside from all the "+1 memeory lane posts, but those are mostly supposed to be ironic or something at this point. Like if that was added I wouldn't be too upset. It's kind of mixed for me personally it's good portions of good and bad. I'm in the "maybe" club. As for the favorite thing I'm for that all the way even if there's not much chance for it to be added any time soon.

Wait, favoring threads? We already sorta have that, its called subscribing to a thread, if you're subscribed to a thread all you gotta do is click the button and it shows you all the threads you subscribed to its not that hard:

I could think of a few good fffriggin comments that would be nice to favorite and keep, but I don't see myself saving forum posts as favorite; they're the kind of things that need context and other forum posts to make sense.
