But I do dislike certain things.

Like I really hope this fire starter isn't a Fire/Fighting D:

I have a super good feeling about the water starter (SO CUTE, HE'S MIINE)

Grass starter super cute, what could go wrong with that.

Okay yeah, sorry for double posts, I'm just that excited.

fffffff-

That's an idea…

However, I didn't even know you could trade online. I once put up a legendary for a Pokemon that I wanted on some Nintendo system, but I don't know how to trade directly with a player. I guess it would be as simple as trading friend codes to start.

To trade with someone else that's not in the same room, you just need to exchange friend codes (Pal Pad) and go to the Wi-Fi room (middle one in the Pokecenter).

The GTS is a clusterfuck of the world's morons. Stay far, far away from there unless you're doing Magnemite trading.

As for Gen VI, I'm meh on it. I'll keep an open mind, but to me, it's not worth getting a 3DS for it yet. The map still looks tile based, there's no lead Poke following you, the legendaries look bad (oversized antlers and a sweater wearing bird, really?), and the starters seem bland. I'll keep watching for more details, but it hasn't impressed me so far.

Did you not see this pimp.

You see that tail. That's the tail of a dragon. He doesn't even need to be a dragon-type. We all know Gyarados is a dragon.

This fool is wearing a hoodie. You can't train him.

I know, but that face just…annoys me. I'll wait to see the final evos though.

The fox is probably psychic.
Fennekin
Fennec (fox) Kinetic (force).
Also, western Europe confirmed.
Also, XY and Z are 3D coordinates, so Z confirmed.
Also, there is a double helix in the title and XY are DNA so that confirmed too.
And Froakie is probably Ice/water, because frost/croak.

My thoughts:

>Impressed by release date. It's good to know they're able to release everywhere at the same time
>Dissapointed by Pokemon. Looking a bit worse for where now (but hey, it's Gen 6).
>Gen 6 and not gen 3(The only gen I haven't played)
>Dat name.
>Overwhelmed by graphics. I'm in love with the new graphical style. It's brilliant for Pokemon.

Can't wait. Would've liked new sequel to snap though.

from bulbapedia

Fennekin may be a combination of fennec and kindle.
Chespin is a combination of chestnut and pin. It may also be from chinkapin, the name of some species of chestnut.
Froakie may be a combination of frog and croak.

edit: this might be the first time i choose a fire type as my starter instead of water. i'll call it McCloud and teach it fire spin. that or call it Mozilla

As exciting as this is, I think it seems a bit too early for a new generation, so I say at least.

The generations come out about every three years. Black and White debuted in Japan in September 2010, so October 2013 would be right at three years.

Since they said that they've been working for this generation for seven years so that there could be simultaneous releases in countries other than Japan, the US (and other Western countries) get a little bit of a head start since we didn't get it until March 2011.

But I think you're right. I still haven't beaten Red in SoulSilver and I've yet to finish White 2 completely. Now I could easily finish those tasks in the next couple of months, but it does seem a bit early. Just remember that no layperson is going to be playing X and Y for about 9 months. It's a while off.

Besides, it gives you a chance to save up/beg parents for a 3DS if you don't have one already.

And now it's time to give them fannames even though their official names are already announced.
I'll go first:

Nutter
Firefox
Frogua

those are someone else's original character names, don't steal them
- Blonic

My thoughts:
- HOLY SHIT PIKACHU YOU JUST ELECTROCUTED THE PLANET I KNEW YOU WERE HOLDING BACK THE ENTIRE TIME IN THE ANIME
- 3D models errywur? Intriguing, but hopefully battles won't be needlessly long because of the game trying to show them off 24/7.
- I think this'll be the first time I DON'T pick the Water starter on my first playthrough of a game: Chespin and Fennekin are just so HNNNNGH (but if Fennekin becomes the fourth Fire/Fighting starter in a row I'm going to gut bitches).
- Y legendary looks pretty cool, but X legendary…holy shit does he have FABULOUS horns o.o

Just in case you're not joking around, I didn't copy those from anywhere. Just made 'em up. If they're the same names someone else already came up with, my bad.

Shit Nintendo.

I still haven't played B/W.

or B2/W2.

or own a 3DS.

or even a DS for that matter. I haven't played one since Diamond.

Guess I'm missing another generation unless a miracle happens.

>Pokemon X/Pokemon Y
Looks like they finally ran out of colors to name their versions…

And they're bringing back the Colosseum Era. Oh well.
I fell out of Pokemon after HeartGold/SoulSilver released anyway…

Facebook might as well rename itself Pokemonbook, because that's all anyone's talking about now. It's magical and wonderful.

None of my friends play Pokemon. :(

In unrelated news, these will be the first Pokemon games WITHOUT SPRITES.

Also unrelated, Iwata's English is awful.

The new Mystery Dungeon used the 3D models too. Unless you mean main series game, in which case, you're absolutely right, barring the Orre games.

So. Choose your starters, ladies and mentlegen.

Fennekin master race reporting in.

Froakie 4 lyfe.

Look into those eyes. Look into those eyes and tell me that you'd let him sit in a pokeball on some guy's desk forever.

I wouldn't exactly call the Shadow Pokemon series main series, it's more of one of the spin-offs.

But yeah, Fennekin master race all the way. First game where I haven't chose grass. Chespin reminds me too much of Oshawott.

Okay.
I'd let him sit in a Poke Ball on some guy's desk forever because I'm totally picking Chespin. :D

Meanwhile: Y legendary will be Fire/Flying and X legendary will be at least part Psychic, both to the disappointment of everyone. Calling it right now.

Looking at the starters already got my aborad on the hype train, but in 3D and possible main game co-op got me really excited, and with 8 Months of wait which is plenty of time for Pokemon White 1 and 2 I'm gonna catch pokemon fever. But the legendarys for X and Y is just meh for me, Not bad but not amazing either, But this is gonna be a great game anyway.

At first, I thought Froakie was neat, but had trouble deciding what starter I liked best.

Then, I noticed Froakie has awesome tiny spectacles, and all bets were off.

I think it might be a bit early. I DID stop playing W2 out of boredom and that Pokemon doesn't interest me as much anymore… But seeing that trailer made the child inside me become all hyperactive… and like a lot of you, I still haven't finished everything in W2 yet. So now I have till October to do so.

I think I like Xerneas more, because I have some idea on how to pronounce it. How the deuce do you pronounce that other one? "yuh-VEL-tal"?

yuh-vel-tal
yi-vel-tal
ee-vel-tal
why-vel-tal

meh, for me it's never been about the legendaries

That is the most badass deer I have ever seen.

I kid. Anywho, I wanted to rep that Chespin clique again, ya herd?

Click for source.

You see this fool laying down? He don't give a flip. You can't train him.

Hey, everyone. I've not been working on KYMmon (surprise, surprise), but over the past week, I've been working on a Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald remake, and adding my own story to it, with characters such as Professor Oak and Gary. Nostalgic, eh? That's why I also made it use the FireRed/LeafGreen graphics.

Have some screenshots:

You can download the v0.1 beta version seen in these screenshots by clicking this sentence (17MB). However, it is fairly empty, so you probably shouldn't. It just has the first 3 towns and the first 3 routes and there are no events beyond Littleroot, except for two signposts at the end,.

I'd wait for my next version. :V

@wabbit

Dat second pic

Also that green jazz on Chespin's head reminded me of Link's hat, so I made this.

I'm so hungry, I could eat an Octillery!

I'm still shocked at how fast it took them to get from Gen V to Gen VI. At the very least I was expecting a Ruby/Sapphire remake.

I think out of the starters, I'll probably pick Froakie, it looks really adorable. Also, I'll try my hardest to get Yveltal, mostly because i like red birds and it looks badass.

I was kind of surprised at first too because I think the gaps between 2 and 3, 3 and 4 and 4 and 5 were much longer. I swear the one between 4 and 5 was at least 5 years. I think the wait will be a shorter this time because they want to get Pokemon on the 3DS as soon as possible to revive the interest that people seem to have lost – myself included – in the handheld. They may not have wanted to remake ruby and sapphire because you have to figure the big selling point to the remakes of gens 1 and 2 was that they allowed players to "reclaim" pokes that they couldn't trade over from the old games. The pokes from gen 3 have been pretty widely available throughout games you can trade with – there's even Kyogres and Ray-Quay-Quays in HG and SS. With less people needing remakes to obtain their favorites or complete their pokedexes, they probably figure less people would buy them, I guess.
