Ah. I'm thrilled about being able to finally EV train people I wanted on my team, but without worrying that I would waste needlessly accumulated amounts of days replacing members of my team, meticulously breeding for more perfect IVs, nature, shininess, and EVs. The shinies I'm waiting for are Slowking and Slaking. Pure beauties.

I've always wanted to make a team of Water-types, but now, with the incoming Pokémon Bank (and my slight inclination to making a competitive team,) I might be able to actually do that.

I doubt my shiny Milotic would be part of it, because it seems like its Defense is really low, but I can actually check EV's and IV's to see for sure.

Anywho, with Azumarill's potential for Sap Sipper, Lanturn's Volt Absorb, and Quagsire's Ground-type, (or the Cell Battery I just invested in for Gyarados) I feel like I could make opponents fear a switch on a Spore, Leech Seed, or Thunderbolt, or just chance that they'll fear the boost in Attack or HP enough that I don't have to switch in all situations.

Gyarados would benefit a ton from the Cell Battery if I could switch properly. Lanturn and Milotic are favorites of mine. My Lumineon from Generation IV is another favorite of mine. I also like Feraligatr, Sharpedo, Relicanth, Empoleon, Walrein, Octillery, Clawitzer…

Unless your Milotic has Cute Charm you can put a flame orb on it to boost it's defense with Marvel Scale. I did something similar with a Conkeldurr in gen 5 to take advantage of guts and I taught it protect so he couldn't be knocked out before it activated. Then I'd Mach Punch the other team into next week.

Also you won't have to worry about worse status conditions like sleep and paralysis while your Milotic is burned.

Yeah, I never had a decent plan for Milotic. I think it knows Ice Beam, Surf, Aqua Ring, and maybe Attract. I taught my Blaziken Protect so it could get its Speed Boost going and to see what the Pokémon in front of me might be using. And it does have Marvel Scale, Flame Orb would be a good bet.

Just so you know: Cell Battery does not absorb Electric-type attacks to boost Attack like Sap Sipper.

Apparently it's because of Nintendo's servers. I knew there might be problems but I can't even describe my disappointment – especially because we're getting this news THE VERY DAY BEFORE it was supposed to come out for everyone else.

And yeah yeah I know it's because Japan got it a couple days early… and on the bright side some unobtainables are being bred like mad and are available in bulk on the GTS. But there are so many pokemon I'm dying to bring over with move tutor moves and shit and I want to actually complete my Pokedex this time.

And apparently the people who used it can't anymore – which could mean some people's Pokemon are TRAPPED INDEFINITELY on the program.

Please get your shit together, Nintendo.

Now that i have a turtwig, anyone care to explain how breeding works? I get that destiny bond lets me get more ivs and the everstone lets me keep nature, and that i need to go to the judge to see if its good, but can anyone tell me how the judge works? Never understood if the pokes that i hatch are good or bad.

If anyone can send me the details that would be great!

The way you breed is you get two pokemon of the same egg group. For Turtwig that would be any Pokemon from here or .here. The type of Pokemon the egg will be is always the female (there are exceptions, but not for Turtwig.)

So you will get Turtwig eggs if you choose one of the pokemon from the links, and if Turtwig is a girl.

When the Pokemon Bank is fully up and running, is there anyone out there who'd be willing to trade a Shaymin? My Black's cartridge got one of the gold slots scratched, so I can't use it to transfer my old pokes. :c
