We got another Save Glitch, guys. This time it happens in Pokemon Centers.
It may also involve the Battle Tree
OK False Alarm people,
This actually happens to people who hacked the game with PKHex
My main team for Moon is going to be Incineroar, Gumshoos, Midnight Lycanroc, Tsareena, Mimikyu, and Golisopod. I only need to get Mimikyu from the third island. Currently about to face Olivia.
The only Totem Pokemon that gave me trouble was Totem Salazzle. That entire fight was poison spam after poison spam. The only time Salazzle used its fire attacks was when I sent out Petili to give me a free turn to heal my Pokemon. I'm sure Mudbray would have made that fight a lot easier for me, but I'm not the biggest fan of that Pokemon.
As for Totem Lurantis: Torracat + Firium Z = complete joke of a fight.
For those who have the games, how important is Solgaleo/Lunala to the plot?
I prefer most of Sun's version exclusives, but I like Lunala much more than Solgaleo, so I'm not sure which version too choose.

I'm looking for an Adamant and Jolly natured Ditto. I've spent hours and hours, caught nearly 50 dittos, and have not found a single Adamant or Jolly one. I can trade virtually any other nature'd Ditto sans Modest, or I can breed you a Modest Popplio or Bold Merciless Mareanie. You just send a pm or reply to me here.
lookie what I found in Vast Poni Canyon!
It's the first one I've seen in the wild, I almost ran away from it but I was like …..hang on something doesn't look right here.

Given our timezones, just PM me when you wanna trade. I'm satisfied with the Dex entries.
Just so you know guys I got Pokerus on my main story Pokemon all through out my team two to three days ago. I was pretty astounded tbh. I got Pokerus before a Shiny.

Which is the point where you start offering free handouts.
I caught a shiny Caterpie while EV training my Zygarde. Unfortunately, its nature is Bold, and I can't even give it Iron Defense since this isn't ORAS. Phooey.
Also RandomMan if that shiny Vulpix has Snow Warning I will be very jealous of your absurd luck.
^It has Snow Cloak my luck isn't that limitless unfortunately.
I guess while we're talking about shinies we've gotten in Sun/Moon, I might as well show off one I caught today:
I attempted to farm for shinies because it was something to do while levelling up a new generation of Pokémon. My first choice to farm was a bust though… I tried to farm Riolu.
Big mistake, wild ones have Final Gambit.
I eventually got bored and tried the scale dragon instead, but then I got bored and realized Cosmog was ready to evolve.
Still, I've been having thoughts about Lucario and Riolu; first is that given the Steel type Z-Move looks like a drill, I kinda imagined a Lucario with Drills for their spikes and cool shades in a Gurren Lagann homage.
The second was that given that the wild Riolu are at lvl 50ish in this game, I could only imagine them as really anti-social types who were mentally adults stuck in the body of a child. Of course, given such high levels, mental images of them beating much larger Pokémon effortlessly ensued.
Gonna be changing up my Sun team because I found out I can't get Silvally until the post game.
So instead, my Sun team will be Gallade, Primarina, Lycanroc Day, Lurantis, Alolan Marowak, and Salazzle

After a brief check of the Pokedex, and island scan tables… You might be disappointed with the Gallade there, since its line isn't native to Alola… Unless the demo somehow gets you one. I don't know, haven't checked that.
If you already have said Gallade… I have to ask how you got it. Especially since Pokebank doesn't open till Jan.

I don't want to tell you what you can or can't run, but I'd like to give you a little perspective on Alolan Marowak so you are better informed on your decision.
IMO, they are sadly mediocre at best. I had one on my team all the way until the elite four, but found they just don't have anything good going for them.
1.They are slow as molasses much like every other pokemon in the Alolan region with a measly 45 base speed stat.
2.Their move pool by level up is god awful. The first STAB move it gets is at fucking lvl 53, and even worse than that is the fact it learns a ghost type move at lvl 27. ONE LEVEL BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN EVOLVE IT.
3. Ignoring that last fact, if you want to go to the move teacher to relearn that move you cant get normally you have to wait until THE ELITE FOUR POKEMON CENTER to find the move teacher.
But all the same if you really want an Alolan Marowak on your team then by all means go for it because for all my gripes with them l did keep one on my team all the way through to the elite four so they can work just as well as any other pokemon.

Oh I'm aware Gallade isn't available in Sun and Moon. I'm actually planning on getting Sun in summer next year, which by that time Pokemon Bank will be updated. I feel that Sun gives off a warmer vibe while Moon gives off a colder vibe. Once Bank gets updated I will transfer a Ralts over to Moon version and when I get Sun version I'll put that Ralts in the bank and bring it over after beating Hala. So yeah that team won't be available for me till 2017. My plan with SuMo is that Sun will be my main game in the warmer months and Moon will be my main game for the colder months.
And as for why I went with a team like this, I'm pretty much just experimenting in a way. It's actually pretty good someone is making me aware of Alolan Marowak. At least I got two Fire Types on my arsenal, that way if one of them doesn't work out I can boot that one for another Pokemon.

People easily give their Type: Null away for a good offer because they don't consider it a legendary. Breed a Sylveon and offer it on the GTS.
Source: I own 4 Type: Null. They're really just trade spares for me to get the other version legendaries.
{ My first choice to farm was a bust though… I tried to farm Riolu. }
Not going any fuckin' better here with lvl 3-5 Pikipek, I've been on the same chain for two days. This is fucking obnoxious, I actually have to pay attention to the game when I'm trying and I can't go do anything else like I could carrying eggs. Do we know for sure if this has better odds than MM?
Lisa you're a woman you carry eggs by default.
Check out what I just hatched:
This one's not for sale but I'll be hatching some Impish ones with Play Rough and Synthesis for this bulky Tsareena build I wanna try out. Hit me up on my wall if you want one of the rejects.
So I finally got through the Elite Four in Alola today, Now I will spam resets on Alpha Sapphire for Multiple Meloetta and Arceus until Christmas (at this point I actually start playing that game), while getting the Ultra beasts, other SuMo Legendaries and try to get the Shiny charm and a Living Dex for later games (provided they are gonna be available on the 3ds)
I beat my Sun copy in four days, but never bothered posting here. When picking my starter, I was initially intending to soft-reset for a female Popplio like everyone else (mainly to name it Aria) before deciding not to when the "Your pokemon has to choose you" part guilt tripped me into just going with the first one, three seconds before revealing I got a female on the first try anyhow. I laughed maniacally I as typed in the nickname. Managed to get a decent nature for it too.
Since I went in completely blind up until I beat the sixth trial, I had a male Salandit and a Charjabug in my party till level 33 and 30 respectively. Poor Magellan will remain in the box forever, at least the 12 Rare candies you get let me save my Charjabug. Final team was Primarina, Vikavolt, Mimikyu, Mudsdale, Lycanroc, and Kommo-o.
I am now taking my time with going through Moon, with a team of Decudieye, Bewear, Wishiwashi (which is OP at level 20 part of the game) A-Raichu, Salazzle (sorry Magellan) and Minior. Well, that's my planned team, I'm still sitting on Route 8 at the moment.
I clocked 20 hours into the game and haven't even beaten the second grand trial yet. The game is good and I like to take my sweet time to fill up my dex.

Currently sitting at 29 hours on my front. Made it to Po Town in the third island but didn't do much beyond that. Sad I have to wait until post game to get the Skull tank top.
I decided to fuck around and breed a bunch of Popplio, nicknaming all of them Chuck Tingle, going to the Move Deleter to remove Water Gun so they only knows Pound and wonder trade all of them. Of the six I wonder traded, I got a Barboach, a Cutiefly, a Abra, a Wingull, a Gastly, and a Cottonee.
Now I'm breading a bunch of Rowlet and actually leveling them up to 34 so they all evolve into Decidueye, and wonder trade all of them. All because of this.
You know… It occurs to me that if using Mega Evolution precludes a Z-Move, and vica versa, then one extra reason Z-Moves exist is likely for those who want to still use up that "Slot" so to speak, but aren't planning to use a Pokémon that has a Mega.
Then again, this hasn't likely made the most of the possibility, given most players use something like a Life Orb or other top tier item that typically doubles their attack anyways. Which may be considered by some as a better option since it lasts more than one turn. Which is a similar reason as to why Megas might be a better choice for the "slot" than a Z-Move.
Not sure if I have a good grasp of any of this though. I'll leave that for you to judge.
Side note: I can't think up a better word for the Mega/Z-Move single usage point thing than just "Slot" so… Anybody got a better word? (I can think of one other, but its not better, its worse, something like "MaZinger" something…. Just because Mega+Z)
Holly molly I got a 3ds just to play this game
-My favorite line up of new pokemon ive seen, ive haven't staired at the starter select screen this long since Ruby
-Some of the best catchable verity ive seen in a game. You find something new every few feet
-Lots of content
-The hand holding and story are really bothersome. It seems like every few feet you have to sit though a story part
-Its pretty easy for the first 8 hours. I didn't have a single KO until 3 hours in and my party didn't die until the grass trial.
I never thought id like a pokemon game ever again but this one is pretty great so far.
Magearna is available for all Sun and Moon players.
Unlike most methods, it's done through the game's QR scanner.
There's no time limit to how long you have to get Magearna, but you do need to beat the main story first.
I soft resetted until I got a Modest one, put it in Poke Pelago for level up and plan to use it as my Elite 4 sweeper so I can use the Elite 4 to level up recently bred pokemon, I just need to get a third bottlecap so I can max out it's other stats.
I used the Synchronize trick to get a Timid nature for my Magearna, which I named XJ9. I even managed to get one with 5 max IVs in only about 5-6 soft-resets, which is great for me.
Just became champion. Team consisted of:
Zygarde 10% Lv. 54
Litten (F) Lv. 55
Ninetales (M) Lv. 55
Lurantis (M) Lv. 54
Lycanroc (F) Lv. 55
Oricorio Balie (M) Lv. 55
Litten only really got a participation trophy really, but I just wanted her to be registered in the Hall of Fame. Didn't evolve her because she's just too cute, even though Torracat has some cuteness as well.

Realized my Level up method isn't the best, now I need to either actually pay attention to my Festival Plaza or grind out the E4

Just give each of them a single rainbow bean so you get the affection exp boost and kill the wild pokemon in the post game area to level them up. It's a lot easier that way imo.
You can also get a lucky egg from the professor now that you beat the elite four.

I've beaten the Elite Four, but I'm still forming my thoughts of the game especially since I'm still trying to grasp what all is in the postgame.
But I do want to say that I agree that the game feels more like a tour than an adventure (although, I don't mind this at all, because I love the characters with me on the tour,)
And I can't applaud enough the QOL changes from the abandonment of HMs (while still keeping the theme of needing help from Pokémon to make your way in the world)
to the small stuff like making Berry farming a lot more compact in Poké Pelago, although I do miss being able to water the Berries.
Once I'm satisfied with Moon, I'll play Sun so I can go on the Alolan tour again. My goal right now is to try and finish the Alolan Pokédex before we get access to Bank.
Speaking of Lucky Eggs, I am sad I can only get one, in ORAS I had five so I could level up an entire team quickly, now If I want five, I got to trade for em.
So you can only get one Lucky Egg now? As appalling as that is, it would certainly explain why I have over 100 Oval Stones and just one Lucky Egg.
I reached Vast Poni Canyon yesterday.
And I am in fucking love with that theme.
@Verbose
The IV judge is prolly the most useful thing they added (especially if you hatch a lot of pokes like me) and speaking of things that are better, you also get battle points on a per-battle basis in the Battle Tree instead of after every 7 like you got in the battle tower.
The post-game mostly involves the Ultra Beasts and exploring the rest of Poni Island, both of which are pretty fun. To get the Ultra Beasts to appear though you have to trigger these little missions by going to the seedy motels on each island.
Just making a note of this because I didn't have a clue what to do when I wanted to catch them, and I didn't realize the Enigmatic Card had anything to do with it.

The only disappointing thing with the aftergame that I can think of is that it's not as good as Black/White 2 as many people wanted more optional battles at higher levels with lots of new areas to explore rather than just a bit of Poni Island and something like Black Tower/White Tree Hollow. So people still don't think it's up to scratch of what we could of get. It's a shame because Black and White 2 gave us such a good aftergame and then they didn't get what they wanted for the rest so we're disappointed in Game Freak again.
Black and White 2 hyped us up for amazing aftergames.

Oh no, I agree. Black and White 2 are hands down the best Pokemon games imo mostly because of that. There was even a hard mode.

I was hunting fro Xurkitree in Lush Jungle getting no results. I was planning on going to the other place it was said to be in after I did once last check, AND THIS MOTHERFUCKING SHINY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!
It's my second overall shiny since I started playing Pokemon in 2009 (Tympole in White was the first).
The only downside to it is that it's Modest and the Fomantis/Lurantis line is mainly a physical attacker, BUT IT'S A SHINY
I just finished the Ultra Beasts postgame quest, and while it did let me get to catch the UBs and then get 1000000 so I could get that leather backpack I wanted, it was completely disappointing plot-wise. They build up this backstory about Anabel, and I was curious on where it was going to go, and it goes completely nowhere! X&Y's postgame quest, which also involved Looker, had a much better payoff in the end. Maybe it's because after playing the Mystery Dungeon games I keep expecting the plots to be really bigger than they should be.

I was going to say Modest is workable, especially with it's HA, but looking over Lurantis' movepool, without Contrary, it has very little to work with, and even then, it's good special moves are egg moves. The only special moves you'd have are Energy Ball, Solar Beam, Hidden Power and Nature Power. It's status move pool isn't too great either. You could always wait until the next Gen 7 games for hopeful Move Tutor's or try running a mix set to trip up opponents, after all, who would expect a Lurantis to use Solar Beam?

I checked it's Hidden Power with the Breeder and the typing is Water.
So… I felt like drawing a sketch of a Lucario based on something I think I said here earlier. Partly to take a break from what I normally draw, and partly because the idea amused me.
I really wish that grinding to Lv. 100 in Sun/Moon was as easy as it was in ORAS. I don't really feel like constantly refighting the Elite Four just to raise up the levels of my Pokemon, even if the final challenge is different each time. Does anyone know of a better, faster way to level grind?
Oh hell yeah, I was roaming through Malie Gardens just now and noticed my Driftblim cause Pokerus. This is the THIRD time I've genuinely caught pokerus in my games rather than get it from a trade pokemon.
The real kicker is that I've found pokerus as many times as I have wild shiny pokemon.
So, bragging aside I'm gonna setup some pokerus trade fodder if anyone wants. Just send me a PM or hit me up in game. My friend code is 3067-5546-2703.
Oh and I'm -10 hours from UTC.
How exactly does EV training work?
If I have a level 60 pokemon is it too late for me?
Is EV training a must have thing to play online?
Anyone want to international trade with an American for the Masuda method?
