Favorite boss themes

If I had to go for my alltime favourite boss themes, I'd definitely go for World Revolution from Chrono Trigger.

But if I were to go for what's cool ATM, I'd say Laughter from Phantasy Star 4, which I've been playing quite a lot lately. Gotta love that menacing drum beat.

The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive sound chip might be inferior compared to that of the Super Nintendo, but Phantasy Star's got a ton of other catchy tracks too, not just this one.

This theme just seems so intense. Especially when you're in the middle of a wasteland with tornadoes surrounding you whilst fighting a demonic old man with a big freakin' mouth attached to his belly.

@Cipher: Well I've been playing through the first Paper Mario game again, and I've come across this theme which I think is awesome.

My favorite boss theme from that game is this one.

Do Touhou songs count? Because if so then basically everything from the Touhou series, but in particular this one:

Besides Touhou then this. Definitely this.

I'm seconding World Revolution as best boss theme ever and also adding this:

Eternal Darkness only has two real bosses, but both have awesome themes. To avoid lagging this thread to hell, I shall link the rest.

Eternal Darkness – Gateway to Destiny

Seiken Densetsu 3 – The Sacrifice, Part 3

Chrono Trigger – Battle With Magus

Super Metroid – Ridley Battle

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night – Dance of Illusions

Tales of Symphonia – Fighting of the Spirit (Actually from Phantasia originally, but I like this version more.)

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga – Boss Battle

Resident Evil 5 – Winds of Madness

Persona 4 – I'll Face Myself (Challenged myself to pick just one song from Persona 3 & 4. This was my overall favorite.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne – Fierce Battle (Just started playing this. Aside from the player character's dumb shorts, this game has been pretty awesome, but holy balls, I can see why SMT has a reputation for difficulty!)

Alright, that's enough for now.

Here's two of my favorite Grant Kirkhope boss themes. First up is Targitzan from Banjo-Tooie, which like most boss fights in the Banjo series over-dramatizes the main theme of the level.

Now for the second fight against Baron Von Ghoul from Grabbed by the Ghoulies. This game has one of the most criminally under rated soundtracks and is also not that well known, and I just love the German flying ace sound with a taste of Danny Elfman that Grant Kirkhope used for the boss fight against the Baron.
