Nintendo put out a notice of acquisition of Canadian game developer Next Level Games
Next Level Games is known for helping Nintendo with Luigi's Mansion 3, Punch-Out for Wii, and Super Mario Strikers. Given their history, I wonder what plans are in store for this acquisition

Not gonna lie I thought they were already a first party studio. Glad to see they are now, should help them make more games like LM3 with support from the rest of Nintendo.
Well, I for one would like another Mario Strikers.
In any case, this comes as a surprise as I believed that Nintendo already owned them.
Like Insomniac Games who many had though were already owned by Sony. Many had thought that Nintendo already owned Next Level Games. I was not one of those people. I was aware that they were still third party but simply choosing to work with Nintendo.
Speaking of Insomniac Games, I would've loved to see them do a 3D Donkey Kong game or handle any of Nintendo's IPs.

Does that mean we can have a Punch-Out sequel on the Switch?
