I've been trying to gain access to the absurdly-difficult-to-enter Exhentai. The exact requirements seem to be something of a mystery, but general consensus is you need an account on these forums and do something with it. I've heard play their stupid game a bit, I've heard have it for a week, I've heard make at least 50 posts. I made exactly one of those 50 posts yesterday: an introductory thread called "Hi. Post 1 of 50" that briefly explained that I was there to fill out certain prerequesites for "access." (No names given.) I mentioned I wouldn't stand out much, wouldn't cause trouble, and I'd fade into the scenery once I got what I came for.

Today I log on to check what sort of snarky comments I got and this was what was greeting me. Seems a bit of an overreaction. But did they really expect me to be happy that I have to do menial, undefined tasks to gain access to a sister site that I may or may not actually want to use?

There is a firefox plugin that will bypass the sadpanda. That's really the only way to actually get past it.

Well, if you're looking for english translated h-manga or doujinshi then yeah, they're basically the same. Ex-hentai has some other things but if you're going there just for the doujins then is better if you read them at pururin.

Pururin is the popular doujin website for the masses, it has lots of great doujins. It's a good place for an ocassional reading.

Ex-hentai is for those that know what they're looking for or wants something specific. If you search for certain doujin and you can't find it in ex-hentai the odds are that:

1) it hasn't been added to the database

2) it doesn't exist

The best choice is using both according to your needs.

Want to read something without having to think too much? Pururin is your choice.

Looking for somehting specific? go to ex-hentai and enjoy the results of your search.

I have access. What I had to do was;

1) Download the Chrome Plugin
2) Go to the site and wait on the Sad panda for a login to appear.
3) Made an account.
4) Waited 3 days
5) Got access.

Oh really? On one hand, I kind of want to see that, but then again, with the extreme hentai I can see on other sites, I'm not sure I want to see this content that Is so extreme.

Without going into much detail, I've been able to access Ex-hentai for as long as I knew it existed.

I just happened to find a link that went to it, clicked it, and I was there. I didn't know you had to have certain criteria until reading this thread.

Yes, I did play the mini-RPG game (HentaiVerse) there for quite a few hours. Even did some leveling and access of spells and potions, but I also had a ton of favorites. But otherwise, I don't talk to people when I'm digging up porn anywhere, so I didn't go on the forum, comment, or anything else. Just favorites and HentaiVerse for maybe a few weeks while browsing.

I guess at some point (long after I had stopped playing,) I was able to access ExHentai once I saw a link.
 
So if you're going to legit route or just want to know what should/could get you there, I can tell you what I have. I may have just eclipsed the criteria. I may be well-over it:

• I'm at Level 19 in HentaiVerse.
  • Playing on Novice/Normal.
  • 36,000 credits (Via the "Dawn of a New Day" thing from years of visiting the site.)
• I have 80 galleries favorited.
• I've had a forum account for at least 3 1/2 years. It may be closer to 5.
  • I'm pretty sure I had another forum account prior to that, but I lost the credentials beyond finding them. And I believe I've had the galleries account for a long time before that.
• My "Moderation Power" is "6".
  • +5 comes from "Account Age".

I have no other activity whatsoever. No comments. No forum posts. No uploads. No tagging. Nothing.

So if you get unbanned or you make another account, then I think the main thing was my HentaiVerse participation. It may have to do with account age though too. I doubt it's my number of favorited galleries.

As for what's the difference between E-Hentai and ExHentai,

• Probably most notably, some tags that don't yield "results" on E-Hentai will net you plenty on ExHentai. I'm not going to reveal any power levels, but you can guess which tags aren't available on other erotic sites that are available on others.
• The motif is black instead of beige?

Mostly, you can look up different tags of porn that you can't on E-Hentai.
